Anybody pick up this new book by Gordon and Trainor. Their The General's War was one of the best analyses of GWI at the Strategic and Operational levels. I saw a copy today and am thinking about plunking down the cash for the hard cover. Only $17 at Amazon

Dammit, I thought this was going to be about another movie with Marion Cobretti

Hey dirtbag, you're a lousy shot. I hate lousy shots.

No one on earth should be allowed to open a thread with Cobra II in the title unless it is going to be about Cobra II. Not some book named Cobra II, but the real Cobra II.

My hopes went up,
now they are down.

Cobra II's expiration date was 10 years ago easily. Stalone has long since been passed his prime for an action movie. Hell, Copland was like 10 years ago!

I also was looking forward to a thread about either Marion Cobretti or the enemy of GI Joe. I find myself so disappointed that I will now smash my own testicles with a nerf mallet. Why must arfcom constantly destroy my hopes and dreams?

Shameless bump and a very strong buy recommendation for anyone interested in OIF at the strategic and theater-strategic level. Not very Rumsfeld-friendly so far, but absolutely fascinating.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through the book so far.
