This is the biggest shippment I've ordered yet. There are almost 400 individual fireworks sitting there. I'm going to start packing my first 2 shows up into different boxes and put them into storage until July.

Edit: The shows I do average $300-$400CAN. They usually are for friends/family ie camping trips/Canada/New Years Day or Family reunions. Shooting the fireworks on private property keeps the complains down.

This is the first year I've ordered fountains. I'm going to try and come up with a unique way of using them. If it works I'll order them again next year. If not I'll order more of something else.

Mortars?

Setting off my own fireworks is a distant memory from my youth, illegal to have them here.

Tape to neighbor's cat, light, start camcorder.
Show to buddy while he's in the middle of a big reload, light, run like hell.

I can't think of much else to do with a fountain...

Looks like fun.

Do you do it for profit? Public event ? or Private?

How much does a 'show' like one of these run?

Man, when Sarasota County banned fireworks last year, I was not happy. I miss shooting them things off. My neighbors and I would all buy 50 or 100 buxx worth each and between all of us we had a pretty awesome show. Now all we do is drink beer and bitch about the .gov banning fireworks "for the kids".

Even if it was a picture of you - with a setup like that, moobs could be acceptable for at least one day a year!

The Can government was even crazy enough to give me an assistant pyro license.

You need a license for that stuff? Looks like class "C" to me. I can buy that here and all I need is cash.

Fireworks are legal to buy here, or sell, but not to set off. Yeah right . Every year more and more people in my town seem to set off their own works. The cops don't do anything about it.

Damn, don't get me started lol...I thought I was the only one thinking about fireworks season already! I put on a show for my friends every year..I go across the state line to the wholesaler's..last year...$1600 spent, 6 trips. This year I have a truck and a better job: less trips, more bang!

Speed

ETA: cakes, need more cakes.

What is in those two little plastic bottles in the front of your pile of goodies?

Looks like it could be perchlorate and aluminum powder.

They are good if you have young children, mine seem to enjoy those and sparklers the best.

That's the concussion flash powder for my Concussion mortar. That and the fuse I ordered are what I need the Pyro license for. All the small fireworks can be ordered without a license.

get a muzzle loading cannon or mortar to replace the fireworks craving. That is something i have thought about. is legal and you can get a muzzle loading cohan mortor or a repro napoleon, load em with 1/2 to 1 lb black powder and impress your neighbors.

since the gov did away with m80s and cherry bombs and the larger rockets regular fireworks (consumer stuff) has jsut been too tame.

Anybody remember the video of the little dog that grabs a "firing" roman candle and runs around with it?

Funny as hell.
