I'm thinking of using tannerite for some SFX explosions in a movie that I am shooting next month. I want to have a reliable method of setting the charges off that doesn't require that I have some dude shooting them with a rifle. I will need to do a sequence of explosions that would be to quick and complex to pull off with a rifle, or even a couple rifles.

The charges will be buried just below the ground for a WWII battle sequence. And no, no people will be near them when they go off.

Anyone know?

Blasting caps or modified squib charges. If you're a movie producer you should have a specialist doing this for you.

Very hard to get. Paperwork,Fees, Background checks and Magazine (Explosives Storage) inspection.

I wouldn't call the ATF and tell them you plan to use detonators without a Maine Blasters License.

Is your project legite? If so I know someone in Maine that might be able to help you out.

So what did you name your production company?
