It seems that recently my wife has noticed that all the clocks she sees are set to 10:10. Is there a reason for this or just a qwinkydink ?

It also seems that we always check the time at 9:11.

Selective perception.  You both see that time just as frequently as anyone else but it "registers" with you because you assign it certain significance.

For me it's the number 242.

Spring Break... South Padre... many moons ago... I guess it left a lasting impact!

10:10 or 1:50,  The set designers want the clock visually balanced.

I read somewhere that marketers came up with the idea of having clocks on display or in ads set for 10:10 because it looks like the clock is smiling, thus subconsiously putting the viewer in a better mood.

Dunno whether it's BS or not.

It's supposed to make the clock look like it's smiling so subconsciencely you go "Oh I want the happy clock". Only to be dissapointed after you buy it when it's 8:20.

At one time I lived in a hotel when I was in the Navy. I used to wake up every morning at 3:33 and 4:44 every morning.... or else I dreamed it. This only ever happened when I stayed at that room.

For me it is 666.
On my hand, my forehead, I see it everywhere. It's carved into the walls of my home, scatched into my car and engraved into everyone of my rifles. Whatever could it mean....?

When you see the clocks say 10:10 it is a glitch in the matrix.
It occurs when they change something...something big.

In ads?

10:10 is roughly symmetrical left-and-right of the 12:00 position.  The upward pointing V gives the impression of a smile or happy face, or simply a regular upright figure such as a martini glass.

Good impression, subconciously makes you think it's a good product.
