If you need to cut thick lumber or logs this is a great tool.

That's pretty neat. It would be handy for building an old-school barn. Railroad ties would fuck that thing up in short order, though.

Does it have a chain oiler?
Does it use chainsaw chains, or something different?

It's not the size; RR ties are soaked in Creosote.
What are you building?

railroad ties seem much harder and heavier than pine. They may be the same thing, but they sure don't seem like it. I have a 12 am circular saw and it had all it could do to cut through a railroad tie yesterday. |
