Not counting cartoons, seinfeld.

Seinfeld kept topping itself, became a weekly event that people would talk about the next day, and it had the good sense to go out on top.

Second would have to be cheers.

Listing might be different if 'south park' could be counted as a sitcom.

I voted Seinfeld because, A) It was awesome, and B) Its the only sitcom I actually bought the DVDs for, but Married with Children would be right there with it for me.

All in the Family, bar none.
At the time of its debut, it was FAAAAAAAAAAAAR ahead of anything else out there...and came dangerously close to cancellation due to its subject matters.

Perfect antagonist/protagonist set up, too.
Way better than Newman/Seinfeld.

I liked M*A*S*H although Alan Alda( actor/producer) is a Firearm Anti I still liked the show.

All in the Family is Priceless,so many Politacal/Racial views,,,,interesting stuff,,,,

Seinfeld,who would of played Elaines character if Dreyfuss did'nt show up?
