60rds of .223
8rds of .32acp 70rds .40sw 16rds .3006 ap in garand clips and I dont have a garand about 300rds loose .22lrs 5 12ga slugs 5 3" 12ga 00 magnums 100 12 ga #6 and 3 yes freakin 3 rds of .45acp good thing there's a fun show this weekend, thats not enough ammo to even take down a good sized deer! and the worst part is I know all that from memory and if I went and looked in the one friggin ammo can that holds all that save for the 8 .32 and 20 .40sw I'd find my numbers were correct. and if you're from the government, its stored in the southwest corner of the closet in a 840rd m193 can. |

500 rounds of crossman BBs, and 100 armor piercing 'cop-killer' crossman pellets.

i keep enough ammo on hand to repel the comming canadian invasion. You never know what those crazy kanuks are up to [:)]
Lets just say its way more than what you have and justa little less than what i want. |
|
It's always good to have at least 1000 rounds on hand in every caliber of firearm you have. That's usually what I try to keep. As for the mags I think you need more. I have 20 for each rifle. Get them while they are still affordable. USGI or Thermold only.

Okay, I can see you guys are wiseguys tonight. How about numbers instead of snide commentary?

Too much to count.
I have about 35 .50 cal ammo cans. All filled with various calibers. Just got another shipment of ammo at my door today. [:D] .223 / 5.56 .308 .30-06 7.62x39 5.45 9mm .45 8mm 762x54R 22lr |

Right now Im out, I need to go to the store and pick up a couple of boxes.

Seeing as how I am un-employed and I have gone shooting quite a bit. I am shall we say running on fumes.
As far as mags, my rule is 10 mags per rifle. The standard capicity variety(30rdrs), what the anti's call Hi-Cap. This is a mis nomer. HiCaps would be a beta-c mag. 30rdrs are standard mil issue these days. |
|
Heck, I usually carry 1000 rds in my truck. 1000 rds is just a good day of shooting. I've got 1000 rds rolling around loose in my sock drawer. If I only had 1000 rds of 5.56, I'd be having a panic attack.

I've got about
1,400 .223 800 7.62x54R 2700 9mm 500 30.06 4000 8mm 10,000 .22LR 1,250 12GA Birdshot 100 12GA 00 Buck 50 12GA Slugs Then several thousand each of small rifle/pistol primers, about 20lbs of various powders, 10,000 various pieces of brass and 5,000 or so various bullets. Enough to hold me over till October in everything but 9mm and .223 anyways. |
|
Gee, I guess I misunderstood something. I thought that was what the numbers were that went with the rounds. I got 22rds of .22, 38rds of .38, 40 rounds of .40, 45 rounds of .45, 223rds of 223, and 308 rounds of .308. I wasn't sure how many rounds of 7.62x39 to get. Do you multiply those numbers to get a total??? Oh yeah, I also have 24rds of 30-06. I wonder if this is why the guy at the gun shop looks at me funny when I buy ammo?? he really doesn't like taking some of them out of the box to sell me the box.

You haven't shown us your Official Hangfire/McUzi Girl Guide Badge yet...
How do we know we can trust you with classified info...? |
|
Well you can burn off about 1,200 rounds real quick in a serious fire fight, so lets just say you better bring a months worth of food and water.
|
|
Well.......... I am using a plastic container filled with 2700 rds of South African .223 in battlepacks as a foot rest right now.

I want floating out there! hehe I have plenty! As in at least 2-3 thousand for each of the calibers I shoot regularly. |
|
Probably about 8,000 rds total of all the calibers I shoot . 10 calibers in all ( I think) |
|
Hold on for a minute... I'll get the numbers for you just as soon as I get off the phone with the local media and ATF. I figured they would also like to know.

CQB30,
I would like to see the building after you burn off 1200 rounds in Close Quarter Battle. I would think in any urban situation 10 to 20 rounds would be a serious fire fight, unless you are in LA of course. I am a recovering ammoaholic and magaholic. I couldn't begin to tell you how much ammo or how many mags I have. It's always fun to find a brick of .22 in the glove box you forgot you had though. Buster |

I threw all my bad, evil guns and ammo into the Gulf of Mexico today. I feel clean and refreashed [:D]

Somewhere around a million I think. Its hard to count with the car parked on it. Its cool when you have a gravel driveway AND a slingshot.
|
|
How many times does it take to polish one bullet to get to center? kinda like a lollipop right.

Ammo? Your telling me I need ammo for my guns. Yeah, right! Next, you'll be telling me Janet Reno has just become a board member of the NRA.[:D]

I have 12 silver bullets in the fridge, and some slugs in my garden.

Hahhahahahaah gardenWeasle
"I just remembered that my tumbler is running" Me too.... How many rounds is 16 lbs. gun powder? I measure brass by the bag. Primers by the box..... Never thought about how many I have? |
|
Lots.
I just love when they talk about some "danger to society" being taken out of his "barricaded" house by the local "peace officers," and they talk about his "assault weapon" (highpoint carbine) and "over 100 rounds of ammunition!" Bwaaahahahhhaaaahaha!! One hundred rounds?!? Dude, you need to call for resupply most ricky tick! Semper Fidelis Jarhead out. |
|
A little over 15,000 rounds and enough reloading supplies to make another 5,000.
Only about 1,200 are rimfire. |
