I have been on loratab for a week after surgery, but took my last one last night. I haven't had a bowel movement since before my surgery. I have eaten about half of normal.

I just bought a bottle of prune juice and I've never drank it before.

1 glass down and just poured another.

Mag citrate down one end, fleets enema up the other.
There are other remedies of course but I don't fart around with it.

Dude, you're going to have horrible diarrhea sitting on top of a solid plug. And it's not going to be happy about it. You might want to stop with the prune juice and get yourself an enema before your upper intestine tries to kill you for what you're putting it through.

You're cool, dude...you did good. Prune juice is not a very harsh laxative. What you may not have realized is that, on top of the hydrocodone slowing your bowels down, you probably didn't drink as much as you usually do and are dehydrated. Just rehydrate yourself with some Gatorade and lots of water and you'll be as regular as a train schedule.

More prune juice ain't gonna hurt either.....that stuff is full of vitamins and iron in addition to helping to move the poo-poo train along.

I had plenty of fluids. I made sure I drank enough koolaid so I was peeing a lot.
