Idaho Receives an "F+" on Laws Shielding Families From Gun Violence...very glad to be out of the prk -hanko |
Frack!!! Georgia only got a D
Well with luck we'll pass the "shoot first law" soon and get a nice F |
How did Oregon get a better [worse] grade then Washington State? We can own Class III for crying out loud! I'm ashamed of our C- rating.
Kentucky is in the process of passing the Shoot First law. The HR bill passed by (I think) 80%.
With what? Everything's been banned in your state. |
Thats pushing it a bit. Interesting though how Reagan, the TARGET, did not push for all this legislation. |
+1 |

How can Texas get a D again? Don't they know we can make citizen's arrests if we witness a crime? Or shoot someone if we think it's the only way to get stolen property back?
"Why'd you shoot him in the back?" "He took off running with my DVD player after he climbed out my window. No way I can run fast enough to catch him, and if I did he might over power me and kill me. So I shot the bastard." "But why did you shoot him fifteen times?" "I only had one magazine." "Well, here's your DVD player back. We'll send someone to photograph the damage to your house and have a police officer watch the place for the rest of the night so you don't have to worry about the broken window. Have a nice evening, sir." |
Their grading system is totally screwed up. I was very ticked off Oregon received a C- so I looked at WA state and saw they got a D+. We're a class III state - surely that counts for something. Then I looked at CA and saw that they received an B+ For Juvenile Possession Law we received an A- and supposedly have the same restrictions. If you look at the 3 left coast states the scores just do not add up. I think someone filling out the report card and double dutying it with the legalize Mary Juana team.

God Bless Texas! thanks for the sigline hon! |
You're quite welcome. |

If we can get an Alaska style CCW bill passed here in Texas, maybe we can join Florida et al in the F Club. It's an idea whose time has come. |
These idiots aren't even making sense. First they are complaining that so far there has been little success in stopping the access criminals have to illegal guns.
But their solution to this is to make more guns illegal. WTF? Or are they saying that they need to make the illegal guns even more illegal? What ever the F that means.
They don't have to believe it. They are just trying to get you, me and everyone else to believe it. P.S. Calif earned an A-. Pity me. |
For those that live in Florida, here is one thing I DON'T think I like:
ATTORNEY GENERAL REGULATIONS May Attorney General regulate guns? Yes Florida - State law grants the Attorney General independent authority to regulate firearms, as part of the AGs responsibility to protect consumers, but the Attorney General has not used this authority to establish gun safety standards. |
Aren't spitball permitted? Seriously, time to hit monster.com and start packing up the house to hit the road for new hampshire, arizona, florida.... |
Way to go FL!
And I thought I'd never be proud to earn an "F". |
hmmmmm....we need one of them there 'Castle Doctrine" thingies.....IF we try harder, maybe we can get a "G"
Missouri got a D+.
Hopefully, we can "improve" on that in the future. |
That was an F+ we still have some improvement needed! |
You mean you don't have the "a man's igloo is his castle" up there? |
MI: D+, wooho! We need some more work to get that F- grade
NJ: A-, I'm glad I'm out of there. |
Yeah us! Look out innocent bystanders! Your death draws near! Bwahahahahahahah! |
how are these people allowed to operate at all? DAMN! i get so fu*king frustrated listening to the shit they are constantly spouting. why are we not smashing windows at their places of business and homes? |
Because we are rational adults and "smashing windows at their places of business and homes" is something that liberals do. They love to paint Conservatives as blood-thirsty, toothless rednecks but when liberals get pissed off they are downright VIOLENT. Look at pictures from the "protests" during the 2004 Republican National Convention for just a taste. There were also multiple reports of Republican campaign offices in many states being attacked, windows being broken out, vandalism, etc. It's much easier and more mature to just let them crucify themselves like they have been doing for the past several years. |
True. Maybe if we get this passed (SB206) we'll get that coveted F-. |
yeah. more gun control nation-wide every year. if "crucifying themselves" keeps working, why change? after all, we're too mature and rational to take action... ETA: while liberals may be in the press looking like asses every day, at least they are in the press. while i'm not a big fan of liberals, i give them credit for at least doing something. they learned long ago to get their faces on TV and get their message out to the country. |
God I want to go there SOOOOOOOoooooooooo badly. That's just icing on the cake! |
I was thinking the same thing. ...better yet, force the creation of a new catagory where the Brady Bunch dumps a steamy pile and dies from apoplexy.. |
Done aleady. The only reason I'm here still is because I haven't found a job in the area I want yet. BTW, if anyone in the Charleston, SC area has a job for an ex Navy Nuke, I accept IMs! |
Kentucky is kicking butt, we have a solid F and the state House has just passed a "Shoot First" law that also has the castle doctrine built into it. The law basically says that if you fear for your life due to an act of violence you have no duty to retreat and are justified in using a firearm to defend yourself. It goes on to say that someone attempting to break into a residence is considered to be committing a violent act. Meaning if someone is breaking into your house you can shoot them. Now the Senate just needs to pass it. This law passed the House with only 4 No votes!
What is even better is someone proposed an amendment to the bill, it doesn't look like it passed, which said that in order to protect the Commonwealth of Kentucky everyone at birth is to be given a handgun and concealed weapon permit! I don't ever see that passing but at least we have people in power who think that way! |
More gun control nation-wide? Hardly. The only states I see getting more gun control are the ones who already have strict laws because of anti-gun politicians and an infestation of liberals. Gun-control isn't spreading. The AWB is dead and isn't coming back. Gun control is a dead issue. |
How lovely! The judicial branch openly and blatantly claiming legislative powers. And state law allows it. I just love the way government has been corrupted at its very foundations. |
I think our CHL prerequisites are just fine, but I want to see all those restricted areas become unrestricted - bars, schools, polls, etc.... I also want to see open carry of handguns deregulated. But 95% of the annoying laws are at the federal level anyway. |
AG is Executive Branch, not Judicial. Before ranting about the corruption of the foundations of government, one should get one's terms correct. |
They get away with that under the pretext of the AG's authority to enact "consumer safety" regulations for firearms (actually, it's all and any products),... loaded chamber indicators, magazine safeties, drop tests, etc. The POS AG in MA has been pulling this crap for years as a carry over from his predecessor. The VPC (surprise, surprise), even publishes a guide to educate states on how to use this loophole to regulate firearms. |
That is ignorant. Jim Brady has not been the one pushing this shit. It's his wife Sarah. Jim is in no shape to tell her to STFU, which he probably wants to. |
That, plus most of us are too busy doing our JOBS. We don't have time to protest, smash, and destroy everything we don't like. |
Beat me to it. Damn! |
we need to work harder on getting to an F-! |
