Seems like that place used to be useful, but it's just overrun with scammers anymore. I have a TV for sale, and get an email from a "Peter Johnson" asking if it was still available. I already smelled a rat based on his yahoo email address, but I figure an email couldn't hurt. Here's his reply:

Zhukov thanks for getting bck to me i really appreciate it ,all you are to do for me now is get back to me with the total cst of the item plus the shipping to nigeria and i send you the ayment and to let you know that i will be payng you with a certfied cashier check and when the check clears you send the item out ok i await your response with your name and contact information if you are selling it for me.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

If I had the patience, I'd turn this into a hilarious entry on thescambaiter.com, but then I'd beafraid that Peter Johnson would set the clique mob and the governor of my state out to DEAD ME!  Oh noes!!!!!

Oh - I'm not saying it's the fault of Craigslist. It's just sad that anything good to come from the internet is quickly subverted for use by these jerks.
