WTF? CNN is getting worse and worse.

Who?

Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:01:17 PM EDT
the only reason brokeback was even CONSIDERED was because it was "so brave and groundbreaking"

Let them have their pity party. The rest of America doesn't care. You still watch CNN for news or just entertainment?
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:02:09 PM EDT
It coulden't possibly be because Crash was better?
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:02:42 PM EDT

Are you bi?

Somebody thinks Hollywood is homophobic? He must think that San Francisco is typical middle-class suburbia than.

God, I'd thought this was our big opportunity to be validated socially, that all those intolerant red states people had finally accepted us as normal and were going to embrace us and ask for forgiveness for all those evil nasty things they've said and done to us..

oh poo I'm on the wrong board!!!

The Passion of the Christ lost/never nominated because of Jesusphobia

Has anyone seen Crash? I saw it last year and the plot was so intricate and well woven together it is not all together surprising that Crash took some Oscars.

Besides, everyone knows real sheperds don't fall in love with people.

I listened to NPR this morning, and they had some whacktard from the MPAA on there who said, "Well, I guess this proves that the American Public is not willing to accept a gay cowboy movie."

Like... duh... hello Captain Obvious.
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:22:10 PM EDT
Same topic is all over DU. They are freaking out because the BB didn't win everything.
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:22:52 PM EDT
Hey, whatever works.
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 6:46:07 PM EDT
I seen both films. Crash is far far better. BB was the only movie I laughed so hard during (the pudding scene).

Larry McMurtry said Brokeback did not win because Academy members discriminate against rural stories.

I wonder if Gus and Captain Call were really gay.

CNN = objective news source ---- i just got back from over in DUNG , and i need a Drink !--
same "feeling" i get from watching CNN

Hmmm...should of had a female director and renamed it "Hidden Valley Ranch"....would have done much better.

Link Posted: 3/6/2006 8:08:44 PM EDT
I didnt watch it and i dont give a flying shit about anything to do with it.
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 8:39:49 PM EDT
"Resident Evil wasnt nominated because people are afraid of Zombies".

I could absolutely, positively not care any less about gay cowboys.

I bet John Wayne is rolling in his fucking grave.
Link Posted: 3/6/2006 9:14:31 PM EDT
the REAL reason it lost is because the academy is made up primarily of an older generation that is not quite as forgiving or embracing of the gay lifestyle like "modern" hollyweird libtards are. that, and the fact it wasn't really a masterpiece of the cinema. silly homos, dicks are for chicks

Was there really a pudding scene?

That is classic.

Those South Park guys were ahead of their time.
