I've used it on occasion for a bad back. Make sure you have some food in your stomach, taking it on an empty stomach can make you nauseous.

Also, depending on how it affects you, you probably don't need to be driving after taking it.

Percosets work better for me.  Everytime I went to the oral surgeon he would ask me "do you need any more percosets?"  I should have answered yes every damn time!

After my knee surgery I was talking a massive amount because of my size. I am 6'5" and over 300lbs. But I am not really fat, I have short legs for my height 32" inseem and a extra long torso and huge shoulders. When I told my pill popping college buddies how much I was perscribed they were all amazed. I was taking 1500mg every 3-4 hours I would end up watching the preview channel for hours, this was before they had the little "programs" on it, it was just the channel listing scrolling past the screen w/no sound. Good times, good times. However as I was getting to the end of the bottle I could tell if I was on it for a few more day I would have had a hard time stopping, I had alittle bit of the "unhealthy" cravings for it

My back has been on the brink lately, I'm currently taking OC 40's, but I split them in half.
I know, I know about long term use, I been on them for 18 months then had surgery, surgery worked for 6 months (pain free). Now the pain is back so I'm up to 80mg's a day of OC. It's going to suck when its time to get off them again..........

Based on experience with broken bones, jacked up back and dental surgery…

Vicodin does absolutely nothing for me. I’m told that some people just don’t metabolize it right.

I had a prescription for some after eye surgery and again after I broke a couple ribs and vertebrae.  I found to to be almost as effective as asprin or advil.  I guess it effects different people differently.

But it did sem to enhance the effects of alcohol in a mildly pleasant way.

You SHOULD NOT be splitting those. OC is coated with a time release coating. If you cut it, the whole thing releases immediately. Good way to take a dirt nap.

A friend of mine just had a tooth pulled and got Vicodins. I had to drive him to and from the oral surgeon's office. He took one before we left town (an hour away) and came back. Didn't seem to phase him, and he's not one for taking pain pills.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled about 25 yrs ago and doc gave me Darvon. Now let me tell you I got to love the feeling of no-pain. Wooo-Hooo!!!!!!!!

I haven't had anything like that since, and since then I'm very careful about such stuff. I sure learned why it's so easy for people to get addicted to stuff.

Tell us how much you like them after you have not been able to take a crap for 7 days.....

Vicodin may cause constipation. Drink plenty of water (six to eight full glasses a day) to lessen this side effect. Increased fiber in the diet may also help to alleviate constipation.

Yeah, that too.  I'll stick with asprin and a whiskey chaser.

You better hope ARDOC doesn't see this thread.

He gave me a ration of shit because i take about 50 a year. Which, according to him means i"m a drug addict. hahahaha.

Needles to say, it works fine for me too.
