I cant really afford one of those nice digital slr's but I think this might  fill my needs for a good zoom.

I dont know about the Z-3, but I have a Z-6 , and I love it. Best camera I have erver owned.

If it fits you needs then go for it.

Personally, I don't use have the things that my D70 can do.
