I say Doctors, to be more specific, ER doc's and surgeons (i've met several that have a "God" complex). Followed by airline pilots, but again this can depend on the airline or the tyow of aircraft they fly (Some are very self important; "It's my airplane,you'll do as I say"). Law Enforcment, again depends on the agency, Fed's tend to be up there (especially the USSS and FBI), some city's like LA and retired NYPD that start new carreers in the south or smaller agencies as chiefs or directors for an agency and bring their vast "experience" with them. YMMV

Doctors! Even when they screw-up and don't do their job they still expect you to pay. Even a $2/hour waiter will usually be apologetic and correct their mistake when it's pointed out to them.z

The 'bad' variety is when someone thinks they know what they are doing, but really have no clue, and finds it laughable that you're even questioning them. |

Well, the .gov limits what we can make. They make the rules, we play by them. I would much rather we got paid for the amount of time we spent with patients, determined by the difficulty of their condition and could set our own fees without all the gov't/insurance bullshit. And then I would be more than glad to refund people who I was mistaken on. It does happen but not often. BTW, being wrong does not include you went to another doctor for your cold and he said you had a sinus infection and gave you the antibiotics you needed all along, blah, blah, blah....or similar bullshit. Time always reveals the truth and if I am wrong I admit it. There are some pretty arrogant docs though, I agree. Myself included at times. FWIW, I have not at all been impressed with the quality of care I have gotten from other docs for my family. Not at all. One of the surgical groups who took care of several family members excepted. They were awesome and took great care of my wife an mother. My wife and I were tlaking bout that just yesterday. I could give a pretty long list of screw ups, rude behavior and rippoff billing because I am a doc and they know I won't say anything.  Based on my experience on this site, I would say law enforcement hands down. A few real dicks. Probably plenty here that are decent though, we just don't know they are LEOs. The ones who go around here with a chip on their shoulder are a real piece of work. As for my real life experience, I would say lawyers. Most of the ones here actually don't seem too bad. |
