Hahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!

The US Army gets "Saving Private Ryan", "Black Hawk Down" and "Band of Brothers" and you guys get "Heartbreak Ridge."

They shopped that turd to the US Army and we passed, fortunately.
The USMC must have been pretty desperate to sponsor that POS.

Seriously, though, I hope Spielberg comes through with his Iwo Jima movie.
That should do more than enough to make up for "Heartbreak Turd".

We also have Rules of Engagement, Full Metal Jacket, A Few Good Men, and Jarhead

I am waiting for the Band of Brothes sequel that is supposedly in production featuring the pacific theatre, and the most elite of all of the military branches - the US Marines

What's so bad about FMJ (the first half, anyway)?
At least it brought R. Lee to the national consciousness.

It was filmed in Vieques PR. It was funny I thought some of that stuff looked similar and then I talked to a WWII Mairine that owns a bar and he told me about the movie.

"In the Army Now" - the first thing that comes to mind whenever I try to picture someone in the army.

Yes, we have a few turd movies.
But most of America remembers only the good ones, and "Stripes" was one of the good ones.
While our guys are recanting Bill Murray's lines, yours are apeing Jack Nicholson.

And "Private Pyle" was the perfect Marine archetype.

But "Sands of Iwo Jima" was fucking AWESOME!!!
