i was holding and petting a bushmaster at acadmy sports. i was seriously thinking about buying it then i went look at the .223 ammo......i just can't take that seriously man. nope. i have seen too many vietnam documentaries on the history/military channels where north vietnamese get up after being hit several times with the 5.56x45.

indeed. the vietcong in particular were known to drop their weapons and run when facing soldiers carrying SCAR-Hs....

That seemed to be the word from FN at the SHOT show.  -L models late 2006-early 2007, -H soon afterwards.

Actually the 55gr FMJ is a pretty nasty little round. It's the green tip that put a crimp in the performance.

I heard 2007 and personally, I can't wait.

That is an awesome rifle and probably the best thing shown at SHOT.

Special Weapons magazine had an article on the Scars and stated the calibers that each will have. I can't find the mag but I believe each had 3 different calibers. H was .308 and 300 WSM. I can't remember the other one or the L's, maybe someone else can look them up and post them.

I saw the article, but I didn't know if they were going to support 300WSM in the civillian market.

Next week, SCAR-XH in .408 CheyTac!
