SOB kidnapped, and raped, a 14 year old girl. Then he hits her in the head 14 times with a hammer and stabs her 5 times in the heart.

The fucking anti death hand wringers got their way again. They claim it is inhumane to stick a needle into a person.

They had some "medical ethicist" douche/wind- bag on Fox yesterday saying that physicians shouldn't be involved in the taking of life. OK, that's logical. But by that same thought process, should they be involved in abortions, especially partial birth ones?

Oops, this may be a 10-pager.....

Why hire a Doctor when there are so many people who will do it for free.

They should slip poison into their food. Whats more humane then not even knowing your dieing?

Exactly.

If there are docs who have no problem crushing the skulls of innocent children, they ought to be able to find a doc who will help kill a brutal murderer.

The hypocrisy of our society is AMAZING. Kill the innocent! Weep for the guilty!

What surprised me is that the two anaestheliogists who were assisting in the procedure waited until it was time to do it, and then had a change of heart. What the heck is that?!! They never thought about what they'd be asked to do, until the moment arrived when they actually had to do it? Who picked these nitwits?

If a guard had pulled his sidearm and shot the guy who was about to be executed,
would the guard be charged with murder?

I like the comedian who does the "tater salad" routine.
Talking about how some states are banning capital punnishment.
But in Texas, they installed an "express lane".

Didn't the governor of IL give everyone on Death Row a pardon down to life in prison?

They were first told all they would do is verify the guy was sedated, then there was some confusion if they were suppose to add further sedation if necessary.

I heard the father speak, POed at the Judge.

Apperently, my dripping sarcasm wasn't apparent.

Yup. Governor Ryan did it back in 2003, IIRC.

Save the sarcasm.

I wasn't commenting on the entire history of capital punishment. Just this particular one and it just so happened in CA this time. This piece of shit got convicted over 23 years ago and some bleeding heart assholes are worried he may have a moment of discomfort before he dies. I doubt he had the same compassion for his victim.
Makes me sick.

Docs shouldn't be engaged in the killing of others. Period.

Nor should they be doing abortions but one doesn't justify the other.

Bottom line is all of this will just bring back other forms of capital punishment. The gas chamber would suck.

How about sawing off their heads. After sharpening the knife in front of them for 10-15 minutes. And then dulling it again so it takes longer.......

This decision isn't all bad. In prison, child molesters are the lowest form of scum, and the other inmates will definitely make life miserable for this guy. So instead of a peaceful, painless "just drop off to sleep" death, he can look forward an unrelenting non-stop series of brutal beatings and ass rapings at the hands of some very big, mean, ugly felons for the rest of his Life-Without-the-Possiblity-of-Parole.

So you see, there is an upside to this.

He's not "off", he's still condemned to die.

But the state has executed only 13 or so since reinstating the DP. People on Death Row are far more likely to die of natural causes than to be executed.

Not too sure about that. He's already spent 14 years in prison for this crime. He's Latino, so I'm quite certain he has a "group" to run with in there. I hope somebody shivs his worthless ass!

As was pointed out earlier, it was the US District court, which admittedly is infected by the stupid that seems to have a hold on the left coast.

And to my knowledge no other lethal injection has been deemed cruel and unusual because the idiot being killed isn't anesthetized before this one....

No, the objective here is to make the courts rule that ANY execution is cruel and unusual, and this is another step in that direction.

It is trying to force a society where this murdering piece of shit has more legal protection than an innocent child, who has no shortage of willing exeuctioners.

This is seriously fucked up, pardon my french....

Exactly.

He is condemned to die the same way I am condemned to die. Sooner or later my ticker will stop ticking too.

The point of capital punishment is that we set about ending the sucker's life because of their heinous crimes against the innocent.

We know the guy is guilty, so fry him already and be done with it.

Christ, I would look the bastich in the eye and blow his brains back to Mexico with a .45!! and then go for Lasagna!!! Some people just need killing and this is one of them!!!

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest, I ve watched people die in front of me for a lot dumber reasons for years asa firefighter, wouldn't bother me at all to watch someone die who deserved it at my hand anymore.

That was my first thought. Anesthesia for the criminal murdering dirtbag, but none for the baby that is about to killed with a vacuum or burned to death with saline solution. How dare they even speak of "do no harm"?

I'm no expert on prison matters, but I would guess this guy is kept separated from the general prison population. I'm sure it varies from state to state, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Of course.
But I continue to stand by my statement.

Could I kill him?
You bet.
Could I use medicine to kill him? Hell no.

It may be a fine line but it is one I am unwilling to cross, nor do I think other docs should. Doctors should not be involved in killing people. Not abortion, not capital punishment, not euthanasia.

There is plenty fucked up in this country right now.
The evil prosper while the good get screwed.
Tail wags the dog and everything seems backasswards to me anymore.
Having physicians killing people doesn't make it better, just makes it worse.

Pay attention!

Because the time has expired on this shitbags' "death warrant"...

The prosecution must go back to the original sentancing judge, for him to issue a new "death warrant"

No problem right?

WRONG... The judge who sentanced this shitbag says he is now AGAINST killing said shitbag... and will NOT issue another "death warrant".

Thus, shitbag "gets off" in terms of, likely not to be executed, ever.\

But he will spend his "reformed christian" worthless life in prison (Maybe!) on the taxpayers dime.

Painless execution... what a crock of shit!!! Fucking Judges!
California... what else would you expect?
Link Posted: 2/22/2006 2:52:11 PM EDT
When I heard about this notion that the POS criminal might suffer somehow in the execution, I screamed FUCKING A!!!!!!!!!!!

It is supposed to hurt and then kill him.

If anybody needs any ideas, here are a few. Let's pour gasoline over his head and light it. Let's shoot him up the ass and let him bleed to death. Let's tie ropes to his feet and hands, and have two opposing horses pull him apart. Let's slowly decapitate him al Queida style. Let's kill the motherfucker in the same sadistic way he killed the girl that he is now sentenced to die for.

Yeah, it is supposed to hurt. That's the point. Now kill the cocksucker and let the healing begin.
