High Standard 10A Police Bullpup in 12 Gauge. Semi Auto, Integral flashlight, carry handle. Made in 67-69. Was a Detroit PD gun. 4 shot. Just barely legal length but 18 BBL. Damn cool looking gun and would be absolutely BADASS for home defense. I came [] this close to buying it. I DID get the guys number and name tho.

the HS 10 shotguns were known for inadequate (if not marginal) reliability
COOL!!!

especially with the non-magnum loads. The relatively low magazine capacity of only 4 rounds also was a minus.
BADASS!!!

Initially HS 10 shotguns found some popularity among the US police departments, but latter were quickly retired from active duty.

A four shot for a HD gun..... Not a chance.

Yep thats it. It might be fugly. but if it was aimed at you I'd bet you would comply. I know a few Shottie gurus and I'd bet they would be able to make one run. Shottie ammo is also a heck of a lot better today then it used to be.

Sorry, but that is damned ugly.

I shoot hot .454 Casull loads with no problem, I doubt I'd have much trouble with this. If you can't hit in 4 rounds, several more won't make a difference.

Wow. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. I almost bought one years ago (without that fugly light)... ended up with an 870 instead.

How much does he want?

$650.00, Probably would be able to talk him down a bit.

anyone menufacture a magazine tube extension?  with an extra 3 shells or so, it would be pretty badass if you could get it to run reliably.

You had better buy two of them because when Joe Burglar comes to rob you with his 8 round Mossturd 500 you may lose that gun fight due to the lack of rounds.

Despite it's short comings... I'd have to go with the SPAS 12 "coolness" factor for shotguns.

Plus ruggedness, reliability, and versatility.  Size is an issue with the full stock, but it shoulders better.  I love my SPAS12.

Plus a safety that, without warning, can turn into a secondary trigger.

Unfortunately, mine has the lever type safety that Franchi recalled many years back.

Here's a bad picture of mine (with a couple of its little friends):

After I found out about the safety problem, I decided that a converted Saiga 12 edges it out in coolness:

So I got one.  Tromix does nice work.

Wow, I really want a saiga myself.  The spas 12 definitely looks the coolest though.

I'll probably end up just getting an 870, and possibly a saiga down the road.

I had a B model for awhile...liked it alot but got laid off and had to sell it. I will get another one as soon as I find one. I beleive Choate will extend the magazine but you have to send them the gun.

I'd rather have that Bad Rider that was being shown on this site...

but everyone has differnt tastes in firearms, and well, all I ahve for a shottie right now is a remington clone of the Auto 5

And let's not forget Van Pelt's pimped out USAS-12 in Jumanji--the uber tacticalest sniper shotgun of all time:
