I want to hear some LEO opinions. I've read and watched a lot about these guys and it all seems so dubious. The "training' is cursory, and the typical candidate seems more interested in playing cowboy than actual law enforcement. As a matter of fact, at the end of a recent MSNBC program, one meathead posed with his gear, racked his Glock (hopefully unloaded) and tucked it in his pants, put on the vest with "AGENT" on the back, and proudly proclaimed he's ready to go and "kick some ass". Is there a use for these guys? As an LEO, do you find them helpful, or just dangerous?
