It's actually a Norinco, imported by Action Arms.
Here is some more info: http://files.uzitalk.com/reference/pages/norinco.htm Price is good though, I usually see them for about $550. I think the Vector is better but people are telling me they've been on the Vector list for a year. |

Buy it right now.
ETA: it is a Norinco, but probably still fun. The value on it isn't likely to drop, and if you don't like it, you could probably always sell it at a gunshow for more than you paid for it. |

Thanx for the help - I bought it. Film at 11.
Nice little shooter. Had to adjust the rear sight all the way right to get it sighted in, but at $350 including tax (pawn shop) I can figger out how to make it right. |

I had a norinco uzi when I was about 14 or so. Fun gun, sold it like a complete retard. It bump fired nicely..

Went out to buy some ammo - ended up buying the whole gun.
On my way home I decided to stop at the pawn shop (what we suffer thru with instread of gun stores in my area) which never has anything. Turns out, they had this Norinco Model 320 9mm Para model. Butthole stock (apparently, when they wrote the law, UGLY guns were less lethal, so they put this butthole stock on it.) Right inset (above) is with top cover removed - bolt and action. Shot it, runs decent. A few failure to chamber - prolly a feed ramp issue. Had to adjust the rear sight full right to get sighted in. One 32 rd mag. Shoots nice. I'll prolly SBR it and get a suppressor. I'll still need the required number of US parts to convert to a true pistol grip, right? Oh yeah, the price - $350 including tax.  |

I've checked the UziTalk website, and been thru teh gun, and I'm not sure what the knock against Norinco parts is. The finish is nowhere near as nice as the IMI / Vector stuff, but its all functional and rugged. |

ETA-for the SBR paperwork, have you ever done anymore class III stuff and do you have any idea how sheriff Chuck Wright is about signing off? |

Chuck Wright rocks - he "gets' the whole Second Amendment thing. My paperwork cruised right thru. For teh record, I even got his predecssor to sign my paperwork. As I am told, I am the first guy to make that happen in Sp'burg County. I normally shoot on my property. There a pistol only membership range near the intersectin of 290 / 296. There's a 200 yard rifle range over in Oauline. |

Thats good to know that chuck wright will sign off. I've been considering getting a suppresor. I have shot at the 200 yard road in pauline, but my buddy owns the property across the street from the pauline range in camp croft, so I shoot over there alot when I'm home. I'm currently in school in GA, but I get back to spartanburg about once a month and in the summers.

That's not what I meant. Generally US parts are lower grade parts (HK and FAL clones - CAI, Hesse, etc. compliant parts) but in this case the US compliant parts are actually pretty good so your not really gonna make a concession to quality. |
