Today I went to a gun show/flea market in Rutledge MO.  All I wanted was an AK, that's it.  After digging through piles of C&R bolt actions that were over priced and looking at enough shotguns to make me sick, I found two.  One was a Chinese side folder and the other was a MAADI that only accepted single stack mags.  AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.  The whole day of listening to the BS all those dealers spew, and all I find are two AK's. [:(!] One was out of my price range and was was just a waste.

OK I feel better now that I have vented.

I was at a show today in Leesport PA.
There was a guy there selling a shitload of AK's...
He had about a dozen there, and 20 more at his shop.
He was selling a WASR-1 with the "Druganov" stock, for $299 and that INCLUDED 5 steel 30 round mags.
If I had the damn cash I would have bought a couple of them...

Only thing is, they were Century guns...
Not sure of thier AK reputation, but just about any AK in 7.62X39 runs 100%...
He said the price is only good 'till he runs out of guns...

Got his info here fer ya...

Depends how far you 'gotta drive to get there...
They're open 9AM-3PM
Admission is $5
No cops or hassles at the door.
There was more "intersting" stuff there than I expected for a small show...Vendors had 180 tables in a 60X180 bulding...
Saw a couple L1A1's @ $499, 2-AR-10's(1 Eagle / 1 Armalite)$$$
Lots of overpriced AR-15's
Saw 2 old AR "lookalike" BB guns.
Some, but not much ClassIII stuff.
Straight in the front door to the rear of the bldg, is a guy with some FA's, Cans, and a beat-up Semi-auto Barrett .50 cal
One vendor has a bunch of cheap Wolf ammo...7.62X39 is $75/1000.

Met "Shaggy" & "David C" up there.
They had a pretty good drive to get there & didn't seem disappointed.
I live 15 minutes away, so it was worth it just to get away from the wife, kids, and pets.

Of course I'm always 'broke' when there's a gun show in town.[:(]

Take $450 with you.
You can leave with an AK, 5 Mags, and 2000 rounds of ammo...[:)]

Bring your beef jerky with you...
I didn't see a single 'jerk'stand.

As Art said, I made it to the Leesport show yesterday. About a 90 mile drive, but I did find two of the three things I was looking for.

1. A CETME ($500 out the door, with 3 mags)
2. A Crickett (child sized 22 rifle, syn stock, SS barrel $160)

The prices include tax and NICS check. The CETME dealer hit me up for $10 for NICS, the Crickett dealer, $3.

For a small show it was pretty good. Mainly gun dealers, not only 2 or 3 militaria-only dealers, 1 NFA, and decent prices overall.

dragraceart - The jerky dealer was to the right of the entrance [;)]

Falcon2, what type of 7.62X39 ammo is that? Is it the South African stuff? How does it shoot? I think I need some of that stuff.

Nice stuff Falcon2. Don't see many MP5K's with the collapsible stock adapter.

I went to a show today here in Nashville... And I shoulda known better. It was probably the worst one I've ever been to. I knew it was going to be bad, but I went because the in-laws are visiting, and it meant some alone-time.

I have seen it all now. I will never forget: HK 12rd mags for the USP .45, supposedly "pre-ban" for $200. That's right $200-fucking-dollars for a 12rd mag. Almost as bad were 10rd mags for the same USP45 that were $60. And they weren't even outfitted with the finger rest. These are new, plain-jane 10 rounders from HK.

I kept the vendor's card, just so I could email friends to stay away from / harass this guy. His prices on anything were damn near through the roof.

Hi Kali, that is not the SF stuf. I do have some S.F. and i like it. The South African 7.62x39 is a little more exspensive then Wolf, but not mutch. I like the SF stuf.
We where shooting some ammo i never saw before in the AK. We where using the Malashion stuf in the m60 and it jamed a lot.
The HK was real fun, 700 rounds a min. It was easey to control to. WE went throu a lot of money fast.  I think i got a hard on for that M60. we shot it Rambo style.

Falcon2, loks like you have some real nice weaponry there!  I bet you had good time out shooting that afternoon as well!

I bought a Colt SP1 about 6 weeks ago and just yesterday got the sights dialed in.  It has seen many thousands of rounds but after a thourough cleaning it shoots really well.  I had it on sandbags at the range to get the sights set (the windage was 9" left at 50 yds.!?!), so while IO had this colapsible stocked 16 year old AR15 on the bags I fired a 20 round group at 50 yards as fast as I could get a good aim for each round.  All 20 rounds are under 2".  I realize this is nothing spectacular, but this SP1 was supposed to be "shot out" according to the original owner.  Not hardly.  Glad to be in this country where we can own these great toys!

Play Safe,
Bill

Oh Yeah!  I like that last pic!  The M60 is definitelt woody-inducing material!  And that under-folding AK, those are nice compact weapons!  I HAD an AK like thone in your pic, but when the prices went to double what I paid for it I let it go. Smart move or dumb move, depends on the financil situation.  I turned the money from the AK into another AR15.  I still don't have any full auto stuff.  I had the opportunity to shoot an Uzi with 16 inch (I think) barrel.   It was very nice, reliable, smooth operation, accurate.  Also a single mag thru an H&K MP5, they are way cool!

I am left handed, so on AR15's the A2 with the brass deflector "hump" is better than the A1, had a single piecs of hot brass go down my t-shirt yesterday when shooting the A1 configured SP1.  That will get your attention!
