my mothers mother died from it. this was back in 75 so i don't know how they handle it nowadays.

A good friend of mine had it. It really did a number on him. He beat it though......barely.

My grandmother had it, they took out several feet of intestines and she lived into her 90s.

I think they just had a report thet cancer deaths went down last year. I think that newer therapies for specific cancers are making progress

First off, WTF is "abdominal CA"

It originated from a single cell line in some organ and that is what will determine how it is to be treated and the opportunity for a cure, if it exists.

In any event, as stated metastatic CA is bad if that is the case here. Any spread outside of organ is bad, to lymph nodes is worse, spread to other organs is worse still. But that is sometimes more a reflection of how much time you have left than ammenability to treatment. For instance, if this were a testicular CA that had mets you might have a decent chance. So it all depends.
