because they are trying to compete with the AR, therefore they think that they have to have some similar features.

I really don't understand what the big deal is. It is just a stock, I am sure that once it becomes time to mass produce they will be making the sidefolders as well.

+1 ...but the more I've thought about i;, the "guts" of the rifle are pure SIG and that means quality, reliabiality and everything else that is SIG. The availabilty of a side folder, different funiture, etc. will defenitely happen and changing this stuff will be a breeze. However, I still feel your pain. |

Because every since the ban sunsetted on our guns, we have gone out put on car stocks and talked about how damned cool they were, and they were a nesseccity for "urban commando operations"
So as soon as a company decides to give us what we all said we wanted........it became so last year. So now only folders will quench our desire for the perfect weapon. The problem is if it had a folder...........most of the whiners would be screaming for an adjustable stock OK I'm drunk so I cant write so bye

They are not going to bother with making a US folding stock and other parts.
Blame the BATFE, not SIG. |

Check the other posts. Sigarms reps said it would take the folder, original handguards, and could be purchased without the raised sight rail.

+1 You forgot M-4 stocks on 10/22s AKs and Shotguns and even NEA break-open shotguns And every rifle has to have tons of rails for rail accessory bling-bling. To be fair, every rifle you see in photos in the sand box have tons of gear strapped on. |

Because if they did, people would be complaing that it looks just like a 55x series and start speculating if ACE would be making a collapsible M4 stock for it.

i was actually pretty stoked about buying one until i saw what they were pimping as a 550. if i wanted another AR i'd build one. I wanted a SIG not a sig/ak/ar tapco'd abomination.
no sale for me after the pics i have seen. |

+1 Am definitely getting an FS2000 but will have to wait to see if SigArms makes changes/offers alternatives before I buy from them. BTW be careful how you post on the SigForum. They're banning guys left and right over there

What if it had a Magpul UBR? Someone did a photo shop with a Low Rail and the UBR I thought it looked pretty good. Fron what I have read you will be able to change the rail height. Do away with they SCIFI handguard and it will look pretty good.
