I have an oppoutunity to buy an HK 91 in 223 can someone tell me what a fair price is for one in very good condition.  Thanks in advance, Robert

Even that is considerd the best of deals for a HK93.
The best deal i have seen(and beat myself up for it) was $1800

H&K 91 = civilian version of H&K G3...
No G3 in 223.

To me this gun is somewhat rare.  There wasn't all that many imported into the USA and was banned from import under GWB I's rein. Mag are somewhat expensive when you find them.

As he doesn't seem to know much about these you might want to make sure it isn't a clone.

Going rate for a genuine HK93 is around $2500 in NRA Exc.

If it is a Pre 89 import ban gun, Yes $1500.00 is a good deal. Bud of mine just got a 91(.308) for $1800.00.  If you dont want it IM me some info.

the original will say HK on it, the others will be(assuming these companies made them of course) hesse, vulcan, special weapons, vector arms, etc....

Well you'd have to get a HK93 (around $2500) and have it SBR'd (otherwise you'd end up with a 33 rather than a 53) which usually around a grand. A 53 project can get expensive quickly.
