Who would be the best company to go with?

I worked with ITT guys before, it seemed a little repetitive, and I don't know how much mobility there was.

It seems like a cool job though, and I like to travel, even if it is to third world shitholes.

Here is the thing, I am starting my 3rd year of college, I am just coming back from a deployment with the ARMY, and I hate it even more than before I left.

I fucking HATE college, and to be honest I don't think I'm even smart enough to graduate with the major I'm shooting for. Ant that is NOT a cop out, I bust my ass here and am still failing. So I'm kind of screwed.

I'm thinking about just ending it with an Associates degree, and then moving on to this.

What do you guys think?

I have a little experience with the Army doing that sort of thing, and I think it might be cool, PLUS they make some serious cash.

Anybody here, "in the know"?

Go get some training first. simply having spent time in the Army isn't qualification enough.
You must have job related training and experience. There is a big difference between being a grunt and being a bodyguard.
The plus side is, a lot of the places who conduct this sort of training also use it as a selection process.
good luck

I've been thinking about this too. Yes, the money is the reason but that amount of money they pay is also a great way to help me get out of NY and be independent. But I only worked 2.5 yrs with a defense subcontractor doing data management. Scanning quality assurance documents, test procedures creating databases and some technical writing. No military experince here just straight out of trade school.

Truthfully....no.

If you have combat arms experience on a two-way range as a rifle-toter, you're looking at pretty mundane shit like, say....standing at a gate, gaurding a water treatment facility, etc. Perhaps, a convoy-escort gig....

In order to get a tier 1 billet, you have to have tier 1 skills and experience.

This of course, is assuming that you don't have a 'hook'.

Go over to Lightfighter, post a brief intro about yourself in Crusader Hall, then venture into the PMC forum and ask your questions. Tread lightly and be mindful of the kind of people you are amongst.
