Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 105mm 'range related' Cordite farts. Ever had 'em?

Why is it, after a live fire ex, using Artillery L118 or L119 Hamel 105mm 'Light Guns'' does my and other Bty members farts smell like the cordite of the ammo.

My wife threatens divorce, after every live fire ex! As for us in the Bty's, well we just laugh at each other.

Anyone else experience these?

Holy shit, that's one of the weirdest things I have ever heard here. Have ya ever tried to launch projectiles from yer butt with those cordite farts?

I have never had that, but me and my friends get "Range Mouth" after a day at the indoor range. I suspect it is the taste of cordite and lead. Blech!
