and never shot it?
I just got a GI 1911 yesterday and I can't wait to shoot it. I bought a cricket 22 rifle for my daughter 2 years ago. Neither she nor I have shot it yet. Now that she is 6 it fits her decently enough we will be going out to shoot it once we get a chance. |

I have a couple of John Wayne commeratives that are my moms don't think she would be happy If I went out and cranked off a few rounds out of her John Wayne Colt actally she did not believe it was a real gun when i gave it to her |

Have fun teaching your daughter. My dad taught me to shoot when I was six.. I'll never forget it. |

i inherited two nib belgian made browning sweet 16s with consecutive serial numbers 8 years ago that i nor anyone else will ever shoot.

My first gun was a Yugo M48A. I shot subsequent firearms comparatively soon after I got them, but that Yugo never got fired until almost two years after I bought it. I just sorta didn't get around to it.

I have an 8" nickeled Colt 38Spl Python, that I bought 20 years ago when my oldest son was born. I have not personally fired it, just cleaned and lubed the barrel. I will give it to my son when he turns 21 in a year and half.

EDIT I forgot about my SA85 I have had it for about 1 year now, and I havent shot it yet.

|
I have a Norinco SKS , still packed in cosmoline and wrapped
in the plastic bag in the unmarked brown cardboard box with the accessory’s from the early 80's . 100 years from now it might really be worth something |
|
I've got a 4" S&W 686 I bought in 1981 when I turned 21.
I'll never sell it. |
|
I have my dad's war trophy bring backs (P-08, P-38, Sauer 38h) that haven't been fired in 60 years. I finally fired his bring back K-98 this year for the first time since it was sporterized in the 50's when I took it hunting (I shot it to zero the new scope I put on it).

|
I have a P22 I didnt shoot for about a year. Just did here recently and had a blast.
I also have a couple AKs I haven't shot. 1 is over a year old now. The other probably about 8 months. Problem for me is just accessibility to a Range. |
|
I have a Russian SKS that I bought in CA a while ago that I fired one round through.I got it for $85 maybe 10-15 years ago right over the counter at a liquor store..still sitting in my closet at my mom's house in the box.

Had a Polytech AKS-47 which was mint and unfired, still had cosmoline on it in the original white box for about a year before I shot it.

I have a custom made percussion chunk gun in 36 cal that I have never fired. It was made in 1963 by an old man that was a friend of my fathers. He gave me the gun in the mid 80s, and I have never fired it.
|
|
I have an old Brown Bess that has been in my family since the French and Indian War. To my knowledge it hasn't been fired since the early 19th Century.

Dad gave me his Rem model 31 shotgun when I was 16
30 years later, I still have it Bought my first AR in '83 (an SP1)...still have it too |

I have a J. Stevens Springfield Model 15 .22 given to me by my brother some 20 years ago. I refinished it a few weeks back and I'm just waiting on a few replacement screws to put it back together and once I do, I'll post a few pics.

I would love to see it, does it have any regimental or rack/stack numbers? |

I my dad bought me a Remington 760 .308 rifle in 1981 and it's never been shot that I know of.

Have a Colt revolver and a Smith model 10 from 1984. All other guns I had before were sold so I could built my house.

|
I'd seriously say an hour. Every time I pick up a gun, I immediatly head home, clean and lube it, and proceed to shoot the hell out of it.
Well for guns with optics it might be a little longer for mounting a bore sighting, but you get the idea. |
|
I had a Remington PSS for 2 years. I bought it, stuck it in a Starlite case and didn't touch it again until I sold it.
|
|
I've had my Marlin model 60 for 6 years now. Never put a single round through it.
I often wonder why I bought it. My recent acquisition of an M261 has basically insured that my model 60 will never get fired. I also haven't fired my Norinco SKS in about 9 years. Right now I have 5 guns that I've never fired...but I've only had most of them for a couple of months. |
|
Twenty-something years. I inherited a "family heirloom" as a teenager - Remington .41RF Derringer from the late 1800s. I have some vintage & repro ammo for it, but I don't want to risk blowing it apart and don't really have any reason to fire it.
If you mean a NIB, unfired weapon, I have a few that I've never shot but none over 10 years old. |
|
Longest 4 years - Mosin-Nagant 91/30
Shortest 7 months - Springfield M1A I still kick myself in the ass for all the guns I bought and sold in the past 10 years, only to regret it later. |
|
I've got a P-08 I bought around '75 or '76 that's never been out of the house. My dad has a Colt Commander I remember him buying around 1970 that is still in the box.

ops didn't see the ...."and never shot it part" WTF anyway?
40 years. Sears Ted Williams single shot 22 given to me by my dad when I was 10. My children all learned to shoot with it as will my grand children. He bought it out of the Sears catalogue. I spent hours looking at that catalogue. Guns and panties.......those were the days |
|
I've got a really nice Remington 1903 Springfield I got from the CMP in 2002 that I haven't shot yet.
I also have a Mosin 1938 carbine that I think I have yet to fire. Bought that in 2000 or 2001. |
|
I've got a G17 that spends it's days as my truck gun. Never shot it. Been there for close to a month and a half now.
|

I have a Polytech AK side folder I bought new about 10 years ago, that still sit in the safe unfired.
