Say you wanted to annoy someone by putting a song in their head that they keep hearing for the rest of the day. You know, where it's an hour later and they're complaining "I can't get this damn song out of my head!!!"

What would be the best song to sing / hum / play around them to accomplish this goal?

I'm thinking the macarena would be a prime candidate.

My Humps by the Black Eyed Peas. That song will bore holes in one's brain. God, it's awful.

Fun suggestion:

1. Go to apple store or other computer stores with PC's hooked up to the internet.
2. Set as many computers as you can to 'badgerbadgerbadger.com'
3. Walk out of store as other customers begin looking around to see what the hell is going on.

+1 Hampster dance. I was an administrator of a highschool lab, and I would go to that site and lock my computer so no one would log on or off, then leave the room. They would eventually pull the damned cord.

yep, and with the proper technique its fairly easy to implant.

Simply, sing the first verse except the last word, that word being "mind". Then motion with your hands the clapping but dont let your hands hit. Their mind recognizes the missing word and subconciously or conciously replaces it and the clapping motion with clapping sounds in the minds eye to make the song whole. Instantly at that moment it becomes something that is a part of them and it takes something pretty heavy to knock it out of their head.

Good luck

As a child I went to disneyland and ever since have had nightmares about "It's A Small World After All". Nothing more horrible than a song getting stuck in your head by animatronic dolls.

It's that girl that used to think she was a punk rocker and now thinks she is a rapper... Shelly or something, I think.

I heard one song, actually I saw the video. Horr-ific. Milkshake brings the boys to the yard. Jeez, prison yard?

For internet songs, it's hard to compete with Magical Trevor. I had that song stuck in my head for an entire flight from DC to San Fransisco... over and over the entire way...

www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/magical+trevor/

Catchy, though...

My Humps, Hamster dance, and Milkshake are definate contenders too...

'mickey' and 'mmmbop' are definately in the category of annoying catching songs.

I'd love to have access to a mall PA and play some of these songs on a loop...it would drive people crazy once they left the mall!

Anybody with kids might suggest this one:

"La la, la la. La la, la la. Elmo's World"

This one never fails to stick in my head for the rest of the day.

ARGH! For the parents, there is no end to the "stick in your head" nonsense!

D - D - D- D- DORA, ... Dora, Dora, Dora the EXPLORER! (DORA!!!)

Or, worse: "I love you, you love me... lets all kill that fucking Barney!"

(I'm not sure I got those lyrics right, come to think of it).
