One of my dad's customers got pissy after being reminded, politely, that he was a month overdue on paying his bill. Started cussing and actually shoved my dad into a counter. He was told not to do that again. He got halfway through the act of shoving him again when he got his clock cleaned so badly with a right hook that half the witnesses thought the guy was dead at first.
He woke up right around the time the cops showed up and said he was pressing charges for assault.
Do you know what happens when you get belligerent with the cops when the person you just assaulted runs a security business and knows every cop in the county?
They arrested him for assault and, I quote, "pissing me the fuck off you whiny little shitstain".
THAT got him real cooperative, but they were already sticking him in the car. My dad was gracious enough to not only lend some paper towels to soak up the blood running down his face, but he declined to press charges saying that if the guy spent a night in a jail cell, it was good enough for him. He dropped him as a customer the next day.
Another story involving my dad (he has to deal with a lot of assholes, so on the rare occasions that violence occurs, every beatdown he delivers is a righteous one) took place in Wal-Mart. He was getting in line at the sporting goods counter to get some extra ammo (it was just before the weekend of opening day of deer season and he had me in the car watching the guns, ATV, generator, etc.). The guy in front of him asked to see a particular shotgun, and when the little blonde clerk handed it to him, he slipped a shell out of his pocket, loaded the shotgun, and pointed it in her face and told her to empty the register.
1) My dad isn't putting with any shit like that.
2) The dumbass forgot to chamber the shotgun.
Do you know what happens when a 6'2", 240lb man holding a full case of Coke is standing right behind you and he's pissed with you?
Knocked him FLAT. OUT. Then held the robber at gunpoint with the shotgun (chambered, this time) until the cops arrived. The manager bitched at him and said he should've just let the guy take the money and go.
Meanwhile, I sat in the car for over three hours wondering just what the heck was taking so long to buy a box of ammo and some soda.
