And because those eeeeeeeevil conservatives don't want you reading the books they've put on the list, they've thoughtfully included amazon links to all of them.

Anyway, enjoy a good reading list for anyone who wants to understand exactly how the democrats became so farked up.

I remember back when this was first posted here...

and I remember I thought it was crap then, too. Books are not harmful. It is people who cannot read them and interpret them without following them that are harmful.

Well, darwin WAS wrong on several fundamental issues.  But it WAS a major stepping stone toward the modern theory of evolution.

As for the other...think about it.  This way the democrats can blame EVERYONE ELSE for their problems, instead of accepting responsibility.  After all, if mommy had let them screw kitty in the ass as a kid, they'd have to accept responsibility for their fucked up brain.  Instead, they blame mommy for not letting them "discover who they were", etc.

No, in a way they can be.  This doesn't mean that you shouldn't write them or they should be destroyed.  It means that you should try your best to open the eyes of the sheeple that believe everything they read.

And what do you think of, say, the koran, (or just to be fair, the bible)?  something about "cannot read and interpret without following" I believe you said?

Looks like you missed the part where they included LINKS to AMAZON so you CAN BUY THE BOOKS.  Sounds like the actions of a group that wants to ban and burn books to me

The key here is understanding your enemy, NOT burning books.  Grow the fuck up.

If this panel of "experts" knew anything beyond what was merely historically controversial, then...

The Origin of Species
by Charles Darwin
Score: 17

Descent of Man
by Charles Darwin
Score: 2

...would have their scores reversed.

What a bunch of extremist buffoons.

Y'know... never in a million years would I have ever even thought about what I'm about to post, but for once I'm glad I live in Massachusetts rather than the Neanderthal stump water you live in.

"Grow the fuck up"

Well, no points for originality, but if I were to respond like I would like to respond this thread would in all likelyhood be locked.

It's a fun book, interesting even, too bad that some of the facts leave too much room for weasling; other wise known as using nuances  ie. I don't own any SUVs, the family owns them type or explaining.

It was well worth my getting itfrom the library and spending about two hours to read it.

The Noam Chomsky and Raph Nader house stuff is great as is the Michael Moore charity info.

Please describe this dogma...I want to know if I am a subscriber.

Back on track, who are these people?  I see that some of them are professors, a few at prestigious universities.  Who are the rest?  Policy people?  What kind of job is that?

Moreover, HAVE THEY ALL EVEN READ THESE BOOKS, or are their expert analyses based on hearsay and historical opinions alone?

+1

If my memory serves me right, John Stuart Mill was an classical liberal from the 19th century. This supported individualism and free market economies...

Correct, a classical liberal, but that term includes the entire American political mainstream, from leftists to hard core conservatives.

I hear he had socialist leanings, but I don't know.

He was one of the earliest advocates for womens rights back then, but I don't recall him having socialist leanings. BUt I do remember that he supported laisez-faire economics, basically a free market approach and agaisnt government intrusion

What about :  The Rules: Time Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right

Other wise known as, "Using deception and manipulation to get a guy to propose"

I wouldn't think it belonged on the list if it was placed in the humor catagory... but since people take it seriously and it was a top seller for like 27 months or something....

I actually read that, some was decent, some was laughable, the rest was just petty games. But it gave me a bit of insight into what I was doing wrong while dating. (I'm a guy)
