A coworker who hunts on Eglin AFB land in NW FL said he thinks that active duty military can use their personal rifles on Hurlburt Field's 800M range. Has anyone heard of this? If it's true, has anyone here been out there to try it out?

Their website doesn't say anything about the 800 yd range.

www.hurlburt.af.mil/basewide/services/shootclub.html

The Hurlburt Field Rifle & Pistol Club provides a ten point 45 yard range and a fourteen point 200 yard range for recreational shooting. The club’s location is 200 yards west of the 16 Security Forces Military Training Ranges (CATM).

Membership is $40.00 a year.

Application and annual re-newels are every Saturday Morning at 0800 in the Club House adjacent to the ranges (building number T0535).

Regular business meetings are held quarterly at 1800 hrs in the Club House located adjacent to the ranges.
