POT THEFT REPORT LEADS TO MAN'S ARREST.

OREM, UTAH - A man who called police to report his marijuana was stolen was arrested after police recovered the pot and invited him to come to the Public Safety Building to identify it.

Kory C. Tippetts, 18, of Orem, was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone with intent to distribute, police said Tuesday.

Tippetts called police Monday evening after someone broke a window, got cut on the glass and crawled into his home while he was away. He told police the only thing missing was a quarter pound bag of marijuana he was selling.

Tippetts also told officers that a man called him about buying some marijuana earlier in the day, but Tippetts was on his way to work and told the caller no. He gave police the caller's name.

Officers found Richard W. Hight, 23, at his mother's home in Provo, where they recovered 6 ounces of marijuana.

Hight had a cut on his arm and blood soaked pants, police said.

He was arrested for investigation of burglary, theft and possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone with intent to distribute and booked into the Utah jail.

I was watching COPS one night. A crackhead looking woman flagged down an officer and said that a guy had stolen her $20. After a little talking the lady admitted the $20 was for buying crack.

Gotta love stupid people

The vast majority of burglars are too stupid or lazy to make a living doing honest work, most of them are functionally illiterate, and the pot heads don't have too many brain cells left.

What a dummy! He should have hid the stolen stash in a drugs-are-OK zone.

Can't blame the guy, he probably thought it was legal now with all the people wanting it and other drugs to be legal!

I guess when you break the law constantly and hang around other people that do the same, you eventually just forget that what you're doing is illegal. Dumbass.

In Tennessee you can legaly claim your drug revenue on your taxes. This will keep the IRS from confiscating your property or fining for tax evasion you if you get caught. I aint making this up either.

Too funny.

The burgaler must have thought drug-free zone meant that all the drugs in that zone were free for the taking.
IMHO an honest misunderstanding.

His druggie apologist-fu must be weak today, seeing as he hasn't sniffed this out yet.

"drug-free zone"

There's a zone where they can have weed in Utah?

Funny, but it is sad when pot heads are clogging the jails instead of rapists and people who are actually dangerous.

Sounds like he's been reading the threads on ARFCOM and buying into the pro-drug symapthizers line of shit.

just a suggestion. non-descriptive thread titles like this are the cause of many dupes. perhaps make the title a little more descriptive

No shit. What is a "drug-free zone"? My gut tells me it's within 1000 feet of a school or some other such feel-good-legislation nonsense.

I want potheads to room with rapists and other dangerous people. Rapists and murderers need jailhouse love, too!
