I only offer one gesture of forgiveness, and this is only for minor things.

Major things like cheating, you never take them back. For major incidents (from g/fs or regular friends) like back stabbing, cheating, slurs against my name, etc. the only apology you should accept is one on a suicide note.

I denied it and while there was an emotional relationship in a couple cases, it never became physical ever.

She "forgave" me, and we have been married for 18+ years. So it can work out.

I stupidly tried once and never will again. I should have gone with my gut reaction at the time, well, not the SSS, but to never speak to her again instead of trying to make anything work. Was all about too too when she got all emotional and blindsided me.
