Yep, I found some more photos of it, even a couple more troops with the same rifle. Apparently it is a franken-M14.

Since it looks like its somewhere in the sand box, the rifle has a "happy switch", I'd have to say a real deal M14 sopmod.

It is a Designated Marksman M14, I bet it isn't select fire.  Not much use with full auto when you're trying to push groups at 500yds.

It's got the selector lock rather than the switch.

M1a is the Springfield armory (inc.) model of the m14

Other companies call their m14 copy the m14 or m14xx

What's the scope on top of that tan rifle in the original post?

I've been trying to get together a spec-sheet to build something this year, and if I can copy something that works over yonder, that's good 'nuff for me.  :)

Hey Fierloki - Check the other thread that I listed. JAE is still working on a website. There are a couple of distributors as far as I know. One is Deserttactical who posted on the other thread. The other is from this site: www.50bmgstore.com but no stocks are listed on their website. You need to call them. I may have created a monster by posting on the GD . I wonder how long I'm going to have to wait for a stock now.

According to Desertactical...$650.00 plus $25.00 shipping. Not sure what 50BMG is selling it for but I assume it's in the same ball park.
