I'll stick with being responsible and my drop safety.

"This IS my safety, Captain"

I'm probably going to get the "Radio Frequency Control" that thing is great.

"The gun user would wear a wristband that contains a small radio transmitter that would send a signal to a receiver in the handle. If a gun user forgets the wristband or the combination isn't recognized because of a glove the gun won't operate."

That's the shit right there. I hear Glock is making that a low cost option next year.

IIRC, it's a seperate magazine made to "lock" itself into a semi-auto pistol.  It keeps you from loading it by locking the slide forward and not allowing you to insert a loaded mag either.  My brother has one issued to him the the NCSHP when they were using Beretta 96's.  Seems like I recall it holding 5 rounds too the were released when the mag was unlocked.  It had a combination lock on the bottom like a briefcase would have.

My 1915 vintage Belgian Browning .25 has one.

So does my old Colt Vest Pocket.  (Pretty much the same gun as the Belgian.)

Those stupid safety devices are crap.  I hope I amass enough weaponry so I will never have to buy one of those crap guns.

I'd say let a company market these gun features.

It will be telling to see how low sales are as opposed to the regular firearm.

But i don't want to say that...lobbyist would want to make every firearm with those features.

Sadly that seems to be the way of things in CA.  Chamber loaded indicators became required this year on handguns and next year it's magazine disconnects.  (may have the two mixed up)  Somebody dreams up a safety device and somebody somewhere mandates all guns to have it, nomatter if it's useful on the firearm or an impediment at car washes.

The arcticle didn't really cover any of the safety devices that come standard on most firearms today anyway.

You know that they threw The Weekly Standard in there for "balance."

TWS was their source for the word "the."

I like how they only put crime related links and articles around the "gun safety" article.

Fucktards.

Where's the device that keeps the gun from firing by itself?  Isn't that the definition of "gun violence?"

What a bunch of insane shit! Anybody else notice that they put a story on "Safety" on their 'Crimes and Punishment' page? Libard fucks!

MSNBC should be renamed MSNBS.  Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough's shows are the only shows worth watching.
