Boobs are great things, they look good, they feel good, they taste good, no downside.  But surgery???  How much better are they going to get??

To each his/her own I suppose...

The only regret Mrs Goon has is not going bigger.

Tell yours the only regret most women have is they didn't go bigger.

Most of the women who I've seen that "wish they went bigger" are either great or already too big.  Most of the women who I've seen that went ahead and super-sized from the beginning (like my oldest sister) look way out of proportion and fake.

I can't tell you how many girls told me "I'm going to get a nice C" and come back with DDs, saying "they aren't that big!".    Yeah, they are, and it is obvious to everyone that you have fake boobs.

A good boob job doesn't look like a boob job.

Well, I may not be married to Mrs Goon, I guess ----Nope...just checked, I am...

I know what she said, and, What her research has shown.  You may have a different experience.

I think your view is skewed, becasue apparently every girl you've known to do it have big boobs, and, go bigger.

Boob job posts are so funny, becasue people that have no experience with the proceedure, recovery, and, aftermath tend to speak the loudest...(Not saying you, but, your experience is skewed)...

Mrs Goon loves her boobs.....That wound up smaller than she wanted, but, make her look great, and, give her a big jump with her confidence.

As with anything...Things should be done for the right reason.

That has been my experience.
My wife has several friends with boob jobs whose tops have been raised once they got a little alcohol in them.
And these are not women who you would expect to do this. (They are business execs)

Sir, with respect, you are wrong.

I've seen the transformation that being confident in body makes on a girl that can be a platform to bigger things.

Hyperbole may be a great thing for messageboards, but, for real life.......It's different.

you need to be aware (well, she needs to be aware) that if she goes too big, there are back and neck problems with it.

Also, some implants are like sacks of concrete - if you want breasts that are hard like a baseball, go for it.

I like real ones that look fake, and fake ones that look real.

I've seen a couple bad boob jobs, and some very, very nice ones. I think most women who have the procedure are glad that they did, and it tends to have a positive effect on their confidence and self image, like getting a good haircut or having your teeth whitened has on yours.

Yes...This is a good observation LS.  One of the first good ones I've heard from people that dont' know crap about the subject other than their own preferences.

Yes.  This does happen, AFAIK...Mrs Goon has doen it more than once.....What should be noted is that she was at a different point in her life at that time.  How Mrs Goon Explained it was a part of shedding the shamed, timid part of her.....She did flash a number of people at different times, but, really, I see it as she was really just throwing off the shame.

She's now one of the most confident, self-capable women Iv'e ever known.

I'd say if you're a guy that can't handle haveing your girl show off every now and then......

Definitly..put down your foot and, say.."NO!"  I can't handle you doing this becasue of what I've heard other women do!

The problem with enhancment is it leads to more confident, capable girls when done right and, for the right reasons,a nd, I think that threatens some men.

If anyone thinks boobs aren't inherently connected to a woman's self esteem, at whatever size......I suggest you try visiting some breast cancer pages to get some grounding.

Sure.  Here's one that says breast implant patients have a two to three times higher suicide rate than the general population.

www.nci.nih.gov/newscenter/silicone-mortality

Here is a dutch study that says the suicide risk is nearly three times as high.  so apparently its not just the american women.

It's amazing what misconceptions people can use to twist their agenda.  Most people that are anti-boobjob, have never seen any that were not attached to a porn star (not in person mind you) or a stripper (who's job it was to take their money).

(American) Society has a huge issue with breasts, look at advertising for anything male...there is gonna be a woman with great breasts in the ad somewhere.  Women unfortunately get affected by this social issue as well.  Some women, not saying Mrs GB, who feel they are not "right" with smaller breasts, just like some women feel they are not taken serious cause of their large breasts. Breast reduction surgery happens alot nowadays as well. On the other hand, self-confidence can be enhanced in a woman who has had her breasts enlarged if SHE previously felt a problem with them.

The thing is, perspective and proportions. Strippers and porn stars tend to go "overboard" and that is what alot of these guys think about. Many women get "normal" sized implants for their frame and many men would never even think they the women had implants unless they knew them before the surgery.

Anyway, in most of the anti-boobjob statements, replace boobs with guns, strippers and porn stars with criminals and druggies, and the statements could be interchangable. The few women who have them and no one can tell, are the ones no one thinks about.... kinda like guns.

I have to agree with whomever said it earlier, "a great boobjob doesn't look like a boobjob."

I don't see why it matters, anyway.   Bigger isn't necessarily better...yet it seems every woman, especially young women, seem to think that.

I like, and have dated girls with all sizes of breasts.  I think they're all fun to play with, regardless of size.  That, and I fail to see how bigger makes them more fun to play with or any of that jazz.

Women sure are uptight about this, though.

I think it's entirely fair to say my wife was affected by these pressures you mention.  No arguement.  I think your post is dead on.

Some people find chick with boob jobs unattractive.

I perosnally find Kate Moss types more unattractive.

The only reason my wife thinks she should've gone bigger is 'cause she's gained some weight.

But then...What do I know.......My wife only actually had it done as opposed to just spouting an opinion on a subject.

I can't quote, but, my wife got a full rundown on the risks before the surgury.

What I will say is;

If you go for the lowest bidder on a boob job....expect the same quality.

I have a fantastic DR in San Antonio that did Mrs Goons boobs....Not the most expensive, but, not the cheapest.

What I think is funny is guys here ae still talking about "Silicone", whowing what idiots they are.  Most DRs are useing saline implants...And have been for the last 15 years.

Guys, that's just being insecure.  Having a boob job doesn't mean a woman is looking for the door.  If that's the case, she was looking for the door a long time ago.

I'm planning on getting a boob job and my b/f is all for it.  I'm already a C-cup and he's happy with me right now.  This is something I want to do and has nothing to do with whether he accepts me or not.  I don't want to seriously "add on" but just want to enhance what I already have and he is fine with that.  I want to be able to wear a shirt without a bra for once in my life -- face it, the fake ones are much perkier!  For those women that know what I mean -- it's a pain to wear a bra all the time just because your breasts are really heavy.  So, hey why not get kickstands?

Guys, get ahold of yourselves.  This is NOT a threat to your relationship by any means.

Right - so you simply presenting one side of the argument is your continual insinuations that the people who DISAGREE with you are:

- insecure and threatened
- don't get laid much
- don't have any "real world" experience like you
- are just spouting opinions without any knowledge.

etc.

I also like your assumption that a National Institute of Health webpage is probably just propaganda, if it disagrees with you.

FWIW - my wife's breasts are bigger than your wife's (don't make me challenge you to a "boob-off" ), and I have plenty of personal experience with implants from previous relationships, as well as close friends who have considered it and looked into it.

There seems to be NO DOUBT that you wife got implants for great reasons, and it's been a great benefit and healthy experience for her. That's awesome, and I don't think anyone is questioing or douting that.

But that doesn't necessarily make you any more of an expert on the motivations of other women (perhaps even the majority of women).

The sad reality seems to be that MANY women try to fix deep internal problems with the superficial solution of breast implants and other surgical alterations - and for many of them it's not a healthy thing at all.  The women I have known closely who either got implants, or are seriously considering it, were both pretty screwed up, and it was clear that their desire for breast implants were driven by those issues (usually related to their daddies, or child abuse, and things like that ).

I'm not saying that would necessarily be the case for all women - but it certainly is a VALID QUESTION to wonder about the motives, and make sure that they are healthy ones, not dysfunctional ones.
