BREAKING NEW: Officer Involved Shooting in Lehi
There has been an officer involved shooting in Lehi with three people wounded.
January 27th, 2006 @ 10:21am

(KSL News) - There has been an officer involved shooting in Lehi with three people wounded in the Lehi area.

The incident started around 9:30 this morning. Police scanner traffic indicated that a suspect had been following someone and shooting at them with a gun.

The apparent victims were on the phone with 911 at the time, and started driving towards the police station, but did not get that far.

They ended up at a home located near 924 West 1500 North in Lehi, less than a mile away from the police station.

The suspect apparently shot two of the individuals, and then opened fire on police officers. Officers returned fire.

At this time, there are no reports of any police officers being injured.

Lifeflight was called to the scene to help transport the shooting victims. One victim has been transported to American Fork Hospital.

Early reports indicate that the weapon used may have been a rifle.
