The Wisconsin Senate voted today to override Gov. Jim,I'm an assbag democrat, Doyle's veto of the Personal Protection act by a vote of 23-10.

The vote now moves on to the Assembly who should get to it some time next week. The Assembly is the historical problem child when it comes to veto overrides in Wisconsin. We are curently looking at possibly being two votes short. Two Dem. Assembly members are wavering on voting to sustain the veto or vote to override.

Rep. Terry Van Akkeren (D - Sheboygan) and Rep. John Steinbrink (D - Pleasant Prairie) are currently unsure if they want to make Wisconsin a safer place by making criminals jobs more dangerous, or if they would prefer to side with the assbag in the Govs mansion and make criminals jobs safer. I'm sure the good reps could use a couple days of non stop phone calls from potential visitors to the state as well as from the rest of us residents of Wisconsin. So if ya have it in you please contact them.

Rep. Terry Van Akkeren (D - Sheboygan) (608) 266-0656, P.O. Box 8953, Madison, WI 53708, rep.vanakkeren@legis.state.wi.us Toll Free (888) 529-0026
Rep. John Steinbrink (D - Pleasant Prairie) (608) 266-0455, P.O. Box 8953, Madison, WI 53708, rep.steinbrink@legis.state.wi.us (888) 534-0065

If it fails I think you should recall all the dissenting officials & start over.

What would TommyThompson have done? Would he have signed it into law?

Nope, last time it failed by one vote. Gary Sherman was the one that stabbed us in the back on that. He was higly rated by the NRA, is an NRA member and was always very pro gun, but doyle made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Adn we got fucked.

While I don't know about resiprocity I do know language in the bill said they would recognise any out of state permit that required the same amount of training or whatever, I'd have to read back through the bill to be sure though, so don't take that as fact.
