the whole notion of socialism and the desire to compare them to the American left is misguided.

It doesn't excuse it, or fully explain it, but it was certainly a factor. Still is in some circles.

What's ridiculous is denying that the profits derived from what was considered a sin weren't begrudged by those from whom they were extracted, often unwillingly through government taxation.

This is not to discount plain old Xenophobia as a factor as well...

In any case, I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement that the NSDAP was a left leaning party, in my book, they were a far right leaning party...

Lots of people say the Nazis were 'Right-Wing', but the facts don't support them. *shrug*

All socialism is indeed politically left.

All socialism is totalitarian...otherwise there can not be socialism.

nazis are on the political left, not on the right.

nazis are a form of liberal, so are communists, progressives, etc.

nazi, liberal, communist,  democrat, progressive, fascist......is all the same.....totalitarian socialist.

Reference:  hitler was an artist, so was stalin.  mao was a poet, madam mao a dancer.  castro was a lawyer and baseball player.


Low net intelligence and poorly educated because they lack a knowledge of the reality.  

kerry, gore, the clintons, eichmann-schumer, kennedy, and most democrats fit this description.  They simply have no intellectual foundation upon which to base any decision or to form any opinion.
