Damn, you carry a lot of shit.
Me: H&K USP 9MM comp High-cap spare mag CRKT SF Blade Cellular Wallet |
[seinfeld]It's not a purse, it's EUROPEAN![/seinfeld] The GLOCK, mag, and fixed blade are on my belt, the P-32, mag, and swiss army knife go in a custom ankle rig, the wallet and Surefire in my left front pocket, the Microtech, gum, and chapstick in the right front pocket, and the iPod and phone are usually in the jacket pockets or other pants pocket. It is all pretty light and comfortable, actually. I can carry and conceal all of it in a T-shirt and jeans. |
You carry a lot of shit man. Me. I carry nothing. I live in NJ |
A Firearm (We'll leave it at that)
A Cell Phone (smallest, cheapest one TMobile offers) A Wallet (Duh) My Keys(Double Duh) A a knife (Usually either a Microtech Mini or a SOG) A SOG Paratool (Amazed at grown people who are reduced to utter helplessness for the want of a simple tool, and even moreso at their utter disbelief that someone actually has the foresight to carry something such as that with them...) A surefire E2E ("Why do you carry a flashlight withyou?" " To see in dark places, dumbshit...) SG |
Why put the swiss army knife on your ankle? That seems like something you'd use frequently and you wouldn't want to have to expose your ankle holster every time you want to get it out. |
The scissors and the tweezers are all I ever use, as the Microtech is my primary cutting tool. It is just so small and light and there is a handcuff key pouch on the ankle holster that it fits in, so I figured what the hell. |

First question: Why carry all that crap? Second question: Do you carry all that for any length of time? Third question: Is the picture just a list of stuff you CAN carry or stuff you DO carry everyday? I'm not bashing you or the amount of equipment you are carrying but I do have to question why. Sometimes less is more. Why not carry a good blade for everyday use and a CCW if you feel the need to carry. If its a Glock then the one mag is sufficient. I think a lot of people take the wrong approach to carrying concealed. A CCW should only be for a last resort you have to defend you or your family's life. Then its going to be a quick up close and personal conforntation. If you need more than one glock mag then you need to go back to the range and practice more. For me I carry a Kershaw and my Springfield Operator in a Milt Sparks VMII or Comp-tac CTAC. I do carry an extra mag as 17 is nicer than 9 but thats it. Just my .02 |
I'd carry a spare primary mag before a spare back up mag as well. |
Becuase shit happens. Two is one and one is none. |
A man who carries 2 guns is not paranoid but prepared.
A man who carries 2 spare mags for each gun is not paranoid but prepared. |
A man who carries 2 guns and 4 spare mags is sweaty and slowed by all the weight, and a bit uncomfortable all day long as well. Its a balance. This is why god inventend the trunk rifle for serious social work.... |
What's with the Ginsu knife in that first post?
You make your own sushi? |
LOL. That's a big ass knife to EDC, especially if you already have a folder. |
What? No condoms? Sheesh! |
I trained to fight with edged weapons for years before I was old enough to carry a gun. A good knife is a formidable weapon in toe to toe encounters, and the difference between a folder and a fixed blade is like the difference in a handgun and a rifle. I sometimes carry a smaller 5" dagger, or in a suit and tie, a 4" neck knife. The folder is a tool, the fixed blade is a weapon. |
Not in Minnesota! I sometimes carry 3 guns and 9 total mags 1 in each gun and 2 spares for each. I never carry 4 guns.....that would be ostentatious. |
All of my stuff probably doesn't weigh much more than an all steel 1911 and two spare mags. Much thought and consideration was given to the weight and method of carry of each item. ...and I have a rifle in the trunk as well. |
Go back and dod some more training.. better to know how to use one weapon proficiently then two half assed. As for that Keltec, have you seen what happens when you get shot by a 32 auto? Last guy I saw that got shot with a 32 was in the hospital getting his hand xrayed after he kicked the shit out of the guy who shot him. It was hilarious.... Again not bashing.. just my .02 |
Quit buying cheap folders. |
4" S&W cheapie folder
can of mint skoal 2 finger cigar case twin blade cigar cutter butane mini torch St. Florian coin medallion ink pen sharpie cell phone |
Is that supposed to be a joke? |
If you think that a modern, quality folder is any less dangerous than full tang, the joke is on you. Edit: I dont care how much you paid for your folder, quality is more than price. |
I have plenty of training with the knives and the handguns. As for the .32, it is small, light, and thin enough to ALWAYS be there, which is the single most important factor in a BUG. I have a S&W M37 airweight .38spl that I soemtimes carry in a jacket pocket instead of the P-32. I carry the BUG as a hand off gun for my wife as well as a spare. She loves shooting the Kel-Tec, but hates the .38. I have considered trading the M37 off for a Kahr PM9, as it would be easier to conceal, more friendly to my wife, and use the same ammo as my primary. If I get the Kahr, I will probably carry it instead of the P-32. |
