I heard he surrendered himself to US troops but he wasn't on their wanted list, so they released him. He's just a talking head, as far as I know. I don't know what if any part he played in Hussein's administration. For all I know, he's just some PR guy ordered to read what he had on his paper.

ETA: Wikipedia answers all: he was detained, questioned, and released. He's currently living in the UAE.

He's a consultant for Al Jezera.

Yup. He was part of our catch and release program. He was a totally worthless catch, so we threw him back.

Man, I miss that guy. Comic relief for a war.

Here are quotes:

"It has been rumored that we have fired scud missiles into Kuwait. I am here now to tell you we do not have any scud missiles and I don't know why they were fired into Kuwait."

"We will kill them all— most of them."

"Whenever we attack, they retreat. When we pound them with missiles and heavy artillery, they retreat even deeper. But when we stopped pounding, they pushed to the airport for propaganda purposes.

"Yes, the american troops have advanced further. This will only make it easier for us to defeat them"

"He's my man. He was great. Somebody accused us of hiring him and putting him there. He was a classic." - George W. Bush, spoken during a NBC interview (April 24, 2003)

That's good to hear. I thought I had heard he was killed by a bomb or something.

I got to where I liked him and was hoping nothing bad like that would befall him.

[BagdadBob]" Yes, there is NO Kassler list! All that you have been told are lies, spred by the infidels that wish to establish American style freedoms. You are all mistaken, there is no list. Any vendor, dealer or manufacturer that ships off-list receivers is in violation of the laws of Kaliban and shall be subjected to considerable insult from our peerless leader Feinstein"[/BagdadBob]
