I have a 1 pound object that is only susposed to be 23% of my total. It is broken up into 3 parts, 23%, 68%, and 9%. What would the weight of the 68% and 9% portion be?

lets see...

23% is 1 lb, so
carry the 5
minus the square root of 87
times the 3rd power of 5.56

yeilds 2.9565 lb for the 68% part
and .3913 lb for the 9% part.

I think.

the 68% part is: 1 lb X (68/23)
The 9% part is: 1 lb X (9/23)

68%=1/.23x.68

9%=1/.23x.09
