Is their much difference, I hear the Barrels are the same, Anyone have experience with the Tikka T3?

I had the T3's previous incarnation, the White Tail (forgot the number). It used to be Mauser action, but seems it's now a push feed All and all, it's a quality gun.

As far as Tikka and Sako, Sako has 3 locking bolts vs. Tikka's 2, better finish and wood, and you pay accordingly. Though I can never stand the pink/salmon recoil pad.

I think the Tikkas are great we chose one for my wife over the Sako. Its a Stainless Steel/ laminated wood stock, great looking and shooting rifle.

I have shot a solid 3/4 inch group from a rest with a Tikka Whitetail Hunter with synthetic stock and free floated barrel - did it with an el cheapo scope mounted on it too. Tikkas are an outstanding value.
