Another thread got me thinking. Liberals and people that hate us across the world love to burn the US flag. I propose that we set a day aside to burn the UN flag. What does everyone think? I'll get the marshmellows and the camera....

I propose we do it on the 4th of July.

It's October 24th.

Wrap one on a bottle of tannerite. Shoot. Enjoy. Share video. Repeat as necessary.

Okay then, I propose we burn their flag twice a year! On Independance day (July 4th) and on United Nations day (October 24th).

Only for fun and pictures, because protesters are teh ghey. Seriously, I don't care who's side your on, marching around and chanting trying to get cars to honk at you is ghey.

Burning a UN flag at an existing arfcom shoot AND taking pictures is fine, though.

I could have sworn there was one out on the target line at Bulletfest last year or the year before. Well, at least at the beginning of the shoot. Not much left of anything after 2 days of blasting!!

I'll bring some fuel and a match!!

I thought flag-burning was something ROP-ers do.
Didn't think that we'd lower our standard to that

EVERY DAY is "Burn the UN flag" day.

I will just say this:

I doubt the UN has anything about ex post facto laws in their "Charter".

From Article I, Section 9:
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

From Article I, Section 10:
No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

So important, the FF put it in our Constitution twice.

Don't expect the UN to follow the same rules. The burning/desecration of the UN flag *will* be declared illegal at some point in the future.

That said, my answer is "Yes".
