They just missed the AVN Convention in Vegas two weeks ago.
Porn is a well-established business these days, so there are plenty of companies and distributers to contact, most of whom are located in the greater Los Angeles area.
But there isn't a lot of money in it unless you handle all aspects of the production and (particularly the) distribution. They might get a few hundred bucks for a photo shoot or video, but that's about it, unless they are producing "professional" quality stuff, and can get work with a major magazine (stills) or distributer (video). They will need to have signed releases (check for what the company requires as far as paperwork) from everyone in the video, and if there is male-female interaction, there are additional requirements such as STD testing. These records must be kept and must be publically available on request, and for video, a notice must appear stating the location and holder of these records.
There are tons of ametuers on the 'net making their own porn, and much of it is available for free. In fact, even if you run a pay site, your stuff will be shared on P2P sites, Usenet, and other sources.
The real money is made by distributing the content yourself. Traditionally, this means magazine subscriptions (stills) or DVD distribution (video). For the last decade, that has also included website subscriptions.
Online, the money-maker isn't really the content, but a well-organized website that makes browsing and downloading easy, has a good, simple, reliable billing system, and is *constantly* being updated. By "constantly" I mean at least once per day, and with new material at least once or twice a week. The website has to be good enough that people are willing to PAY for the convenience of going there to get your content instead of searching for it elsewhere for free. Of course, everything I just wrote is true of virtually any subscription-based website.
Like many other jobs that seem easy at first, most folks quickly find that this becomes a full-time (or more) job, not something that you can do "on the side" and make any money on.
