Just got back from the barber (#1 on the sides and #4 on the top) and she had a fit.

She hates it when I buzz my head close. I love it. Wash N Wear hair.

I can throw on a cover and I'm good to go in the am if need be.

Just one less thing. Now if only I could figure out a way so I didn't need to shave my face anymore.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:15:50 PM EDT
She don't care. Most of the time she just laughs.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:17:19 PM EDT
Better that than long nasty hair. I hate long hair on guys.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:18:44 PM EDT
Yeah, my wife hates it when I get my hair cut short. I tell her it's a renewable resource but she doesn't buy it.

The less time I spend in front of the mirror, the better.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:20:35 PM EDT
Jesus, I get a 1 on the sides and a 3 on the top and consider it long.....
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:20:35 PM EDT
Heck, no. She bought the shaver at Walmart and she's the one who does it.

She'd much rather have me lookin' tactical than like some hippy .

#2 all over. She doesn't like it much, but she endures it.

My wife cuts mine for me a uniform #2 all over. She says I have a nice shaped skull, and I have noticed people treat me with more Respect because the just can not tell if I am a recovering skin head. I just reassure them I hate Liberals / Cowards only.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 6:46:19 PM EDT
Yes she does. I let it get kinda shaggy in the winter because I need something to keep the wind off the back of my neck. First day it hits 90 and it's a #3 all over and the beard comes off too. I have a Klingon head or I'd just shave it.

The last time I did my hair like that I had also not shaved my face for 7 months. I looked like a damn terrorist the entire summer of 2003

Been using a #1 on the sides and a #2 or #3 on the top for several years now.
The wife likes it that way.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:37:27 PM EDT
#2 in the winter. #1 in the summer. Might try no attachment this summer.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:40:28 PM EDT
Hell, my wife complains when I don't buzz it.

#1, of course.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:40:29 PM EDT
#2 here, but I'm really lazy so some times my head looks like a chia pet, but in red
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:41:00 PM EDT
no she just gets pissy when she has to check the back of my head

Attachments? What the hell for? It's perfect when it's as close to the skin as possible.

And my wife complains when I go more than a week without shaving my head.

So, what exactly do we have in common that makes us all decide that a haircut most of us would have to have been sedated to get 30 years ago is without question the way to go? Are we the scattered remnant of some heavily-armed village full of oddballs whose survivng children were adopted out 30 years ago, or what?

BTW: My younger boy has "musician" hair (think of the orchestra conductors in Bugs Bunny cartoons). The older boy has a flat-top, probably 3-5.

I shaved my head for shits and giggles once. I liked it and never looked back. My wife liked my hair long. She adjusted...

I had a raging flat-top in 1st grade. Had so much pomade (oh yeah, I went there) in it that you could set a cinder-block on it and my hair would hold it up

My wife cuts my hair, plucks my eyebrows and cleans my toes - amongst other things
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:58:06 PM EDT
I don't have that problem.

1. I grow my hair out

2. I have no SO

After I got out I said no one would tell me how to wear my hair again. I've had every thing from a flat top to hippy playing in the band hair. I've quit jobs when told to get a haircut. Its my hair and my choise.

So, she's trying to entice you to go totally bald? Use the clippers with no guard. Lather and shave. Show head to wife. Post pics.

............could be the grey that's starting to show up for some of us.

Number 3 is long, number 0 is too short. the beard and 'stach get a number 1. I love pie.

Ekie has a beautiful bald head....done with no attachments. As kids, he had the bowl haircut. LOL! Then as teenagers....grew it out!! He had long hair when we first hooked up (beautiful hair!) but then....military changed our lives. Now a clean head and full Ozarks beard. Love my mountain man!

Sadly, +1

I use a #1 all around and the grey is just little sparkles on the sides of my head.

Mine used to fuss, but she got over it. I've had a buzz cut forever. My dad believed in getting his moneys worth. When i was in Jr. high in 1966 , long hair was the in thing. I still wore a buzz. Some kid called me onion head, I had him in a headlock giving him a knuckle rub on his long beatle type do, when the principal walked in. He wasa retired army officer ,colonel iirc. He looked at me and said to the guy i had in the head lock" yall are going to learn to leave him alone, turned and walked out. after a few more good knuckle rubs, I let him go. No more onion head comments , at least not to my face.

My wife fusses at me when it starts to get longish.

#2 on the sides and #5 on top.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 6:40:50 PM EDT
no guard on the sides, finger length on top. no more than 3 weeks between haircuts.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 6:44:14 PM EDT
.5 on the sides, and 1.5 on top. Haven't carried used a comb in years!
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 6:51:58 PM EDT
Bah! Chicks dig the long locks.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:00:43 PM EDT
0 on the sides and .5 if that on top.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:02:02 PM EDT
My wife buzzes my head every month. She only complained once when I shaved it totally smooth.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:04:00 PM EDT
mine L O V E S it... i tend to get lucky more often when its shaved
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:05:22 PM EDT
no attachments here.

wife says it makes me look mean. i think i must have an odd shaped head.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:08:14 PM EDT
My wife don't gripe except when I take the guard off.
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:11:54 PM EDT
#4. Any less the wife complains. This old guy that used to cut my hair, $5 included a straight razor shave. You could read Playboy, Penthouse, guns 'n ammo and Field & Stream in his shop. He got Parkinsons.

I just cut my 2 yo hair with a #2. My wife moaned about it for weeks. He's a boy for crying out loud.

Nair hair remover?

I cut my own hair, #1 all the way around, once every two weeks. I'm 19 and have no girlfriend. All my friends have the shaggy hair deal that is the in-thing right now and their girlfriends all love it. I think they look like emo idiots.

#5? Do you use a snood, or carry scrunchies around your wrist?
Link Posted: 1/21/2006 7:40:34 PM EDT
#0 sides and #2 top. Hates it, says my nose is too big!!!
