I took my wife shooting.

First she shot a 20 gauge shotgun. She shot it about 25 times, even though she kept saying it hurt when it kicked. She was right on target, too. She wore the target OUT. I know a lot of guys that would have wimped out if they were getting kicked that much, but she hung in there and kept shooting--she is small framed. She had a bruise on her shoulder last night she was quite proud of.

I tried to get her to shoot my AR, but she was a little scared of it and it was too heavy after she had been holding up the shotgun so long.

BUT, then I pulled out a Remington nylon 66 .22 semi auto.

All I heard was POP POP POP POP  over and over and over. We shot about 50 rounds through it and she shot most of those. She kept saying 'I LIKE this one!". Her smile got bigger and bigger the more she shot. i couldn't load it fast enough.

After we finished, she picked up the kids and I went home to do some work. She walked in the door and announced "I've decided something!"
I thought, oh, great, what now?

She said "I'm gonna stop buying clothes and shoes and start buying guns and ammo!"
I laughed and she said she was serious.  i started telling her about the different kinds of .22's and she was adamant she wanted to get one with the biggest magazine there was. She said "I don't want a little 10 rounder I want the big 50 rounders"

SO I went to town and came back about 2 hours later. She said "I'm glad you showed me how to shoot that gun today. Two dogs were in the yard  and I got the BB gun and shot them about 20 times (it's a red ryder, and they were about 30 yards away). I WANT YOU TO GET ME A STRONGER BB GUN TO SHOOT DOGS AND CATS WITH."

SO now we are up to a semi auto .22 and a powerful BB gun.

I told her this morning I was thinking of doing an AK build and she said "UH-UH,  NO way, you gotta buy me a .22 first, and about 10,000 rounds of ammo."

She wants to shoot again this afternoon, but we may not be able to due to other things we have to do.  

Now if I can just get her into shooting a FAL or M1a..........[

I may have to get a second job.......

At least she prefers a gun that uses cheap ammo! 10,000 rounds of Lapua is a tad higher than .22 LR!

Good job but where are the pics?  

married 9 years almost.

I took a camera  to take pics, but got so into it we forgot. Will try next time, which may be pretty soon!!

Do a search for an American 180.   177 rounds of 22LR in a top-mounted drum.  Evil removeable stock. Sort of a cross between a Thompson and a Lewis machinegun. FA version shot 1800 rpm.
