Very well put. It's what a lot of conservatives have been saying for a long time. Sadly it takes a popular actor to make people listen, but considering how many people watch American Idoloter and Celebrity Dance Off I guess I'm not that suprised.

There was another thread singing the Praises of Morgan Freeman a while back. Sure seems like a respectable guy, especially for an actor.
'cept I hated his narration in March of Penguins, man, his voice really makes you sleepy. Of course that movie would have required Gilbert Gottfried to keep you awake through the whole thing. |

I don't know if it's just my age, or my hatred of the loony left - but I find I can't watch movies or TV anymore that have the more rabid liberals in them. Tim Robbins, his "partner" Susan Sarandon, Donald Sutherland, etc. all just piss me off. My wife wanted to get that newer movie with Jane Commie Fonda in it - I've forbidden her to bring it into our house or spend money on it. She agreed after I told her about Jane (She's not exactly up on anything before 1985). I love to see when an actor/actress like Morgan Freeman can actually show some common sense, and step away from the slavering hollywood pack and espouse his own opinion. Guys like Freeman, Bruce Willis, James Woods, and James Earl Jones will always have a place of honor on my DVD shelves. Good Man. |
