Very Blue northern va here

I live in the deep blue of Portland Oregon.  Most of the rest of the state is red, but there's enough blue here to turn the whole state a nauseous shade of  "socialist blue" whenever there's a vote.

My rural district is blue (mostly rural black voters who are traditionally democrats), my county is somewhat red, my congressional district is very red, and my state is barely red thanks to too many damnyankee imports from states that start with 'New'.

As far as I can tell, most arfcommers live in blue counties. Afterall, blue counties are more populous as a general rule, and it stands to reason that there will be more arfcommers in these counties. For example, see my own state:

Members By County - Ohio

Total Members By County
7 to 48
4 to 6

Most of the members (red counties have more members) are in counties that are blue politically (and the most populous).

Ya, but there's only 40 votes so far. The sample size is too small to be meaningful yet.

ETA: My county is rural, our population is about 19,000 people and there are only four traffic lights in the entire county

Sheriff, County and City positions are almost all Democrats. National elections are always red. The Democrats here are Zell Miller types and are more conservative than most of the Republicans in Washington. Our Sheriff is a Democrat but he is more conservative than 90% of the national republicans so he is a GOOD Democrat. I know a few of the local politicians here and the only reason most are registered as Democrats is so they can pick up the black vote. About half of the local races don't even have a republican challenger and it is decided in the primary

The colors on that map are reversed, Subnet.  It's showing the entire state of West Virginia as blue.  In reality, W. Virginia is only blue (Democrat) in certain areas.

That's how David Leip's cool atlas of elections is set up, too:

No it isn't. It showing ARFCOM member population, not Republican/Democrat election results. WV is blue, because you guys haven't participated in the ARFCOM Member Locator thread much.

You sure are. There aren't that many people in Placer county, so the odds of finding an ARFCOM member are a little slim.
