On thursday night my buddy and fellow paratrooper was stabbed.  We are in the same mortar section and have been kicking ass togeather now for a while.  Now he is on con leave and hurtin bad.  
On sunday while in the hospital we got a chance to talk some and he is hurting.  He isn't sure if he will stay in the army with the wound or not it was a 3inch serated blade that went all the way in.  Started over something stupid with the other guy said the pool table was his now or just some petty crap.  The other guy threw a punch and johnson being a fucking infantry crazed person he is hit him back and laid him on the ground.  The other guy continued trying to fight even though he is on was on the ground and johnson was a level 2 combatant.  In the long run he was laying blows down on the guy and somehow the guy got to a pocket knife and put it in his gut.  By this the other guys with him got there and pulled him away johnson didn't even know he had been stabbed untill some one yelled out he had a knife.  I guess the bouncers didn't do as good of a pat down as they pretend.

He is still in pretty good spirits so I got a picture with him quick.  His abdomen is all messed up and it makes him look like a chunk now.  Im sure he will work it out.  he got a couple hours of surgery in and his liver is supposedly gonna be 100% again.  Regardless he will be outa training and possibly our deployment.

It looks like the surgeons did more damage than the knife.

Lesson to be learned.  When the other guy is on the ground, stay up and lay a few kicks in to keep him down.  Rolling on the floor with him aint a good idea.

they had the guy at the hospital for a while I think we broke his jaw and some other crap.  I went out in the field on tuesday morning and just got back in so I just kinda got updated.  I think the other guy is still in lock up.  Don't really know what they are charging him with.  He wanted to hear more about the field problem then the boredom and pain of sitting around.

Ill say one thing though.  he was very lucky he has alot of very vital organs damn close.  if the guy would have tore into him instead of just poking him Im affraid I would be out a friend.  

Bouncers agreed that he fought back in self defense so chase won't get into any crap on this.
